I remember UFO with "1980" flashing up in the opening credits – still excellent progs for nippers, better than today although I was saddened to hear that all of the main cast of UFO have now passed away (RIP) except for Gabrielle Drake – I'm feeling old LOL!

I've just taken a cut in salary with my new job but it sure fells better than no job at all. Also, because of the current situation pay levels are falling everywhere – except in banking and politics it seems.

I was made redundant for the first time in my life in April this year – I'm still looking – but my savings have made a difference. We had no summer holiday this year and were without a car (due to it being a company one) but my worry is really for my daughters for whom the future seems very grim at the moment re. jobs and careers. However, we have good friends and family near by and these are where your values should lie – money isn't everything but you do need enough to get by on.

Really unassuming too!

Well I've just found a return ticket for sale for £150 but it would mean that I'd have to stay out there a week.
