I have to shave every day for work (Army) and have done for the past 21 years. I’ve tried everything and am now using Wilkinson Sword Hydro 5 and find them spot on. I’m easily getting a month out of a razor. As for shaving gel, I use either Nivea sensitive gel or Bodyshop Maca root shave cream with a brush. This is pretty good stuff.

I’ve tried using a ‘proper’ razor but they shred my face.

Your razors shouldn’t be getting clogged up after a couple of shaves.

Must say that on my patented Film Disappointment Scale, ‘The Hateful Eight’ came in a solid Prometheus.

It is by far the weakest Tarantino film, especially so given the hype.

Be careful of buying bars, as they attract CGT.

You *might* be better off buying UK coins as they are treated as legal tender and don’t.

Great link, thanks for that. Watched the video but will read a bit moe into it later.

Nope, I know nothing about it.

From a quick scan of the FAQ’s you can buy and store yourself and sell if needed when the price is high or you can invest as a pension but it has o be stored at the Mint.

If I ever considered it I’d get some advice.

I sited the shed on the base and then built the deck around it.

In your case I’d take up the turf to the required depth/size and sink the base into it. Stick a weed barrier down.

No, I didnt, I just leveled off a base with sharp sand, compacted it down and laid out the base. I did the base a bit wider than the shed so any water coming off the roof drained into the base.

I put a weed barrier under the base.

Only pics I have are with the bikes next to it.

Ours is a bigger shed but we bought this EcoBase system.

    EcoBase

Shed sits on top and there’s no standing water at all under the shed. Any exposed EcoBase around the outside we just filled with pea gravel.

From some past experience solid concrete bases or slabbed bases can hold water and rot the shed base over time.

I was recently clearing out my grandparents house and found 3 boxes containing 150 high powered rifle rounds. Just contacted the police on 101, told them what I’d found and they came round pretty sharpish to pick them up.

You’re all making me feel guilty now for wanting it filled in!

I will have a good look it when I’ve drained it to see if it can be saved.

I’ll need to get it drained and see what’s going on in there and where the waters coming from but my guess it’s seeping in through the walls. The place hasn’t been used in years and it’s just filled up over time.

My thinking is fill with hardcore compacting it down as I go, every foot or so and then top with concrete. I want to sink a couple of ground anchors into the concrete top to chain the wife’s motorbike down and secure it.

I wouldn’t want to store anything in the pit, it’s too damp.

Sod that, I’m sure there’s something living in that pit. I go in and see ripples in the water. I reckon it’s that thing in the black stuff on Prometheus.

Ah, good one, that’s what that pipe is coming out where it’s always wet outside.

Thanks for the replies. Good to hear some positives. First impressions were good, I’ll get a few more rides in this weekend.

Cant stick a bottle on the bike, nowhere to put it.

I’ve bought an Ultimate direction access 20 plus, see how I get on with that.

Cheers Househusband, I like the look of that Ultimate direction access 20 plus.

Trouble with things like the osprey and the Flash Flo is the size and you tend to fill them so like you say Dawson, they hang and bounce about.

I quite like wearing them, not a big fan of having packs on my back when riding. I use a wingnut for the longer rides, they sit lower down.

I have an old Marin waistpack which holds 2 water bottles either side of a small compartment but this is about 25 years old!

I’ve never suffered with lower back pain/stiffness but everyone’s different.

Yeah, back end looks too small for a chinook.

I’ve not accused her, I have pointed it out along with the evidence on how I came to the conclusion that it may have been her.

I have seen her since and she say’s she’s not hit it and that if she did she would have let me know. Yeah right, a young girl probably paying a silly premium as it is aint going to admit to it IMO.

I’m not sure where to go with it now.

Does the car still work? Doesn’t look that bad to me, I’d be inclined to forget about it and go back to bed rather than face the monster ballache of insurance hassle etc…

You could think like that but then again it’s the principle of the matter. I don’t know how much that repair will cost me but I bet it won’t be cheap.

Best thing is, she’s not come round to see me but got in the car and done one!

I’m sure this is obvious to you and apologise if I’m being stupid but you have measured the height of your damage from floor level against the the paint on her car?
She might already have this from a long time ago and could actually not be her fault.

Yes, done that. Both are at the same height. I have photos next to a tape measure. Both are 23 inches high.

I will do. I don’t really want to go through the insurance if I can help it because I don’t fancy increased premiums next year but if she agrees to pay for repairs out of the insurance I could just spend my time chasing the money.

    My car.

Most of it should polish out but there are a couple of deep scratches.

Her car, Not come out of it half as bad but black paint residue on the wheel arch. Photo doesn’t show it very well.

let’s just see if she comes round to discuss it and see what she has to say for herself.

I used to like nipping along to Conwy and having a few in the Albion but to be honest I find the place, staff and some that drink in there a bit pretentious.

    FYI

XT are fitted with ceramic pistons which means they should run cooler, probably worth considering if your a fat knacker or do a bit of extended downhill,uplifts/alps etc.

Cheers for that, good to know.
