Yep, forget the stabilisers. Find a grassy slope with a flat run-off and get kiddo to straddle bike with legs out like stabilisers and let em go!
Run after precious offspring, shouting instructions; "dont turn- dont look down" etc etc.
Before you (and they) know it they're riding a bike…marvelous!!

I recently discovered in my mothers loft, lots of slides of f1 cars and drivers from the 70's and 80's that my late step-dad had taken. He was a keen photographer and mad f1 geek, found some really nice pics.(Nicki Lauda with both ears!) Worth putting on ebay perhaps?

    I love my nano flats…
Had em for over two years, been abused for many a mucky Peaks ride and never felt the need to give em a service or any kind of maintenance and still they perform faultlessly…..just thought I'd share that! 🙂

I haven't been for a few years now and I aint no expert but the thing I used to find difficult initially was grip levels in cornering and accelerating. The trick I found helped was to ignore the noise of your engine and try to feel for grip with your right foot…. and be SMOOOOTH!!

Thanks for offer, I'll be accompanied by my sister though, who is very new to mountainbiking and very, very slow.
Was hoping for, perhaps, one or two decent bw's that I could base a ride around. Not expecting anything 'gnarr' but dont want to waste the only day I'll have on farm tracks or bog holes, if you know what I mean?
Doesn't have to be within riding distance of Bourton, a short drive somewhere's do-able…Any thoughts?

I had lots of failed attempts getting my high rollers to seat with a track pump. Even with the strap round the tyre, it just wouldn't seat.
A mate suggested using a garden sprayer, as it had worked for him, and yeah it worked- only just though and with a bit of modification.
You have to get max flow out of it by removing the tube and filter from inside the bottle, loosely taping over the pressure blow-off valve and pumping it up to way past what is probably safe (safety glasses might be a good idea!)
I removed the spray head and pushed on the valve and tube off of my track pump on to the sprayer tube and pulled the trigger…. Not exactly explosive but constant pressure, something you cant get with a track pump – up she goes……thank ****!!

To remove/replace just the glass, you have to push on the glass and slide it at the same time (2000 model)
