    I’ve just got myself one of these;

Helmet compatible hood is a winner for me. No point in a waterproof if it runs down your neck

A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away…

If we,re looking at light from the birth of the universe, why are the galaxies alredy formed and not hjust randomly scattered gas clouds?

The One Fill is excellent for smallish holes/cracks, I use it on woodwork exclusively. It can take a lot of covering on walls and ceilings – it shows through emulsion. Easifil for under emulsion if there’s alot of filling, 2 aplications on deep stuff though

Edale > Ringing Roger > Woolpacks > Kinder Downfall > backtrack across Kinder Scout > down Jacobs > Edale is pretty good. Don’t follow the crowds and go up the valley, it’s quieter and nicer up to Ringing Roger

I’d suggest doing this in reverse tomorrow, otherwise you’ll be battling a pretty vicious head wind on the tops. Some bizarre rock formations up at the woolpacks – well worth a look

    Nice one agent,
A run down from Dunkery Beacon it is, hang a right down Dickies to Webbers post, head north and look for good stuff – sorted… now how the eckypeck do I get back up to DB??? up the valley (Horner Water) to Stoke Pero? or round and up Flora’s?
    Looks like a muddy one whatever… 😀

    Cheers all

Camping near Lynton snaps but dont mind a little drive closer to the good stuff. Horner woods is on the radar, worth exploring or is local knowledge an essential?

Kryton, paint a whole wall with any old matt emulsion, you only need to roll it . Leave it until tomorrow. If it looks acceptable, go for it with the finish paint

Try it on one wall see what happens. Let it dry properly before deciding whether or not you can put up with how shit it looks

I might just change the entire route now. In fact, yeah. Forget the route. I’m going to make it up tomorrow.

    MWUHAHAHAHAHAHHA
Trust your instincts, use the force Pook 🙂

It would be a shame to play it safe, the Peaks has a lot to offer…

Also i’m wondering how physically demanding this route will be, as i’m hoping to take my daughter to the peaks at some stage so i’ll make an effort to memorise the route if its not to difficult.

    …you’ll be fine 😉

Red is notoriosly dificult to cover so you need a red/deep pink undercoat and even then you may need to apply 2 coats of gloss. Farrow and ball is shite btw HTH

I’ve just got back from doing it today for the first time…epic stuff!
Started Sadgil, up and over Gatescarth, as said above, awkward waterbars do throw you off line a bit.
Massive carry up Nan bield – is the north side really ridable as a down?..not by me it aint!
Up, over and down into Kentmere is a cracker though, worth the carry imo, which I enjoyed too in perverse way..

Styheads an armoured, cobbled steppy path, steep in partsbut ridable. I did langsrrath in the other direction and it was hard work, very stop starty, not much fun tbh. But I didnt like styhead either…
    HTH 🙂
