    I much prefer the soles on the impacts compared to the old freeriders, the freeriders don’t seem to absorb trail buzz like the impacts do. Hard to live with their sponge like qualities though…

    Chris, dont know if you’re aware or if its in your route but ‘the bastard climb’ up from res to Win hill is closed due to forestry work, its now twice as wide and very muddy 😕

    Not been over but guessing from todays spin around Ladybower that it will be a bog! I was suprised (as always) how wet it was. There seems to have been a lot of traffic along the usual routes so I’m guessing Cutgate will be no different… Get stuck in I say 🙂

    I used a pair through last winter and on the whole, pretty good really. Not for freezing days though as the back does let a bit of cold air through which might be more of an issue at road speeds

    Inside or out?
    Light rub down, oil based undercoat on windows, another very light rub with fine paper 150 ish grit and gloss

    Size it. If you want to paper the same day use the thin paste method but if you’re not in a rush, better to size with thinned pva the day before so its dry. Oh, and use decent quality paste
