    Except it does start

in the beginning both of the Mrs corsa’s started eventually but after a while it got to the point where it wouldnt atall…..

    It’s an ’03 diesel, CDTI, 1248cc,

missed that bit sorry, if its not the harness at the back of the cluster, then look at the glow plugs then diesel pump timing.

it’ll probably be the immobiliser preventing it from starting there is a mod to do to the harness at back of the clocks on the Corsa C ( had to do both of the one’s the mrs has had!!) if that dont work it’ll start getting expensive……

Have never really been a fan of endura stuff quality wise.
Polaris stuff is just as good quality far cheaper and better fitting IMO :-). (but then i’m not exactly built like an xc whippet… more like a wwe wrestler..)

I ride with the dog at swinley often and yes he does run the berms and walkers soon get out of the way if you shout coming through, shouldnt we all just accept that there will at times be close calls and thats just part of life, no need to be upset and segregate everyone from everyone….

You can all hate me if you like, but every time i go to bikediscount.de the prices are good but when you ad the cost of postage into the equation then often CRC are still cheaper……

Every company I ever worked at.

They penny pinch and scrooge their money, beat suppliers down to the point where they have no alternative but to offer a poor service, won’t invest when not doing so costs a fortune in maintenance and completely ignore the feedback they get from the guys on the ground that tells them that investment will save them money in the long run.

    Crazy, crazy stuff.

I remember one joke place, you had to put a full and itemised expense claim in for stamps (and this was in the days before email so everything was done by letter). This process essentially doubled the cost of every single letter sent due to the admin.
Accountants running the company instead of sensible business people, terrible situation.

I couldn’t have put it better myself!!

Cassettes are one of the cheaper ways of saving (rotating, ish) weight on the bike, so I can usually justify XT to myself.

good point / excuse hehe, though if i stopped eating too many pies i would see better weight reduction than the SLX XT weight difference… 😆

think i’ll stick with the XT to match the rest of the groupset 🙂

Gareth -Not quite sure what you mean

There is a valve that controls whether the boiler sends hot water around the radiators or hot water tank(if you have one)if it is dodgy then the valvle may not be allowing the hot water round to the radiators

Do you have a hot water tank or is it heated as you use it by the boiler?

another thought,, is the pump working ok? ( if not then there will be no hot water getting to the rads…)

possibly missing something, Are the Upstairs and downstairs rads seperate from the boiler or is there a 3way valve somewhere that could be inop / failed? (its by the hot water tank in my house)

P.s i know very little about plumbing but i can try and help…

    right decision made then 🙂

Next question. Is an XT M771 Cassette worth the extra £20 over the SLX Hg62 ?

    Thanks for the reply

Dont mind SLX atall, currently running a Deore 9sp and i’m impressed with that. I just dont know which is better for the money… (and dont want to pay the extra £30 for the XT shadow plus)

your toes rub against the tyre as you turn – it’s is pants.

I experienced it on the Vapour but not the Croix, for some reason. Only size 8 feet

best watch out for it with my size 10’s then!

    I’m sure there’s loads more!

Thanks, i went to head for the hills for my DB alpine and they were very helpful so will give them a visit

Thanks for the respone people :D, think my mind is made up!

like the look of the Kona jake and the Cannondale CaadX but will have to check out the others too.

Now just to work out how much to spend and what size I need…… 😯

Is CX sizing similar to road bikes?

I’m confused, had a permit to ride for the last 4years or so… and recenly have been paying the parking fee too… not too pleased but fair enough. I’m was until now under the assumption from what the look out reception lady said… that due to the new parking fee i wont have to renew my riding permit in april….??>?
i’ll have to find out tomorrow morning….

ps. the car park / trails have never been busier since the introduction of fee’s, thought it would have a detrimental impact tbh..

One tip from me, go to a proper running shop and get some running shoes that fit your feet and suit the way you walk/run. otherwise you’ll have knackered knees very quickly…. wish i had done that!

It was the right hand bend below (obviously coming down) The photo makes it look alot less steep than it is. Baildon, near Bradford

I used to live in baildon and work in the restaurant(now a house) at the bottom of that corner and that was a regular occurence!
I pulled a few people’s cars out of there with my old Landrover too 😆

passat is the same size an an a6, so not a particularly fair comparison

not true, the passat is the same platform as the A4. My A6 is miles bigger than my previous passat!

root/slippery rock sections, they are a bit hairy compared to the better compounds.

this was confirmed for me at the whinlatter loop on a hired dune rr with HD’s firtted. I had 3 “offs” on stuff that I’d normally breeze over with my minions, so far i’m not convinced with Hans dampf tyres

    My 2p’s worth….

I’m in the coil band, the best thing I ever did to my Marin wolf ridge was swap the air can out for a 5th element coil unit. It totally transformed the bike. both uphill and especially downhill 🙂
I’ve nothing against air but at 97+kg coils are the way forward for me… Oh and i’ve spent many hours trying to setup my mate’s DHX4 air on his Cannondale Moto, but it still needs tweaking every time we ride.

Also have dual air 454 pikes and coil pikes too, have to say the coils are much smoother and more sensitive. and as for the weight penealty, i’d see more benefit eating less pies than the difference between air and coils.

I’ve always had good delivery times from CRC apart from one which took 2 weeks due to some error but they refunded my delivery costs (when they used to charge) and gave me a £10 voucher 🙂

Car Battery bolts are normally a 10mm spanner so they’ll be M6 nuts, local hardware store will have them. But i’d deffinitley try to recover the one that dropped first..

I have made up some 0.5 and 1.0 mm spacers to try and combat a chain alignment problem on my DB alpine, you could place some either side of the guide to align guide to cranks and chain to cassette. I could post you some to try if you like?
