It depends on the complexity of the part and the quantity required. You need to factor in a few costs. The design time for the part and jigs/fixtures to hold it when machining, Programming time, machine tools, machine running time, post processing requirements, inspection, etc. When you factor that lot in then 1off or small volume parts tend to be expensive. only when you’re making thousands then the price becomes cheap. but then is there a requirement for thousands off?

For 1offs / low volume 3D printing often is cheaper than CNC.

I can thoroughly recommend Van damme black tour series 2.5 mm speaker cable. Think the the blue series is just as good. They do twin and Bi-wire configurations. And its well priced if you goggle around.

Going to run rigid’s with an SLX set up for general biking duties

    Dumb question though..

Good point I’ll have a trawl for attack trail Coil shocks.
The reason for wanting coil is mainly from doing it to my old wolf ridge Tara frame, as it totally changed the way it handled, so much plusher and a much linear action. Plus I’m a fat heifer at 95kg….
Maybe I’ll give air another chance….

Must be time consuming lab testing fuel every time you fill up

No need to test, might sound geekish but I notice the drop in fuel economy and the engine doesn’t respond as well under acceleration when on tesco’s or morisson’s finest…. Shell on the other hand runs much nicer and I get another 40-50 miles to the tank generally..

i would say its for grown ups, not 7 year olds, language isnt too bad but its the sexual and political scenes that are not suitable really, I think its great personally but would wait until my offspring were older to let them watch it

Rather than disease it should be a mental dissorder…… like a kind of ocd,,,,, must eat too much and not do any form of exercise…. thats just my opinion for the majority of obese people. Apologies to the unfortuneate few people who genuinley have a medical problem.

Hard tail, but only because I snapped my FS frame and can’t afford a similar quality replacement (don’t you just love having a big mortgage!!). so swapped all the bits onto a HT. Very happy with it tbh, but as soon as funds (the Mrs) allow i’ll be back in the FS brigade.

Audi A6 all the way, huge boot and cofortable cruiser. German engineering so no need to worry about reliability or high mileages as long as its got good history. 🙂

Edit: Same goes for BMW 5 series touring or Volvo V70

As craigxxl said, get a garage to do it properly, our garage charges £30 and for that you get a full system discharge, pressure / leak check and recharge. The AC now works perfectly. Much better than a DIY can from halfords.

I think the Alpine would look good in white. Any suggestions?

still loving the kawasaki green 🙂

think the alpine looks best bold colours, perhaps a blue or yellow..?

    Quick Q

Higher revs wont heat up anymore but the higher flow of exhaust gases through the engine and dpf will help it to regenerate quicker.

so what happens if you hit a fox or deer or small child on the blue run at swinley would you ask their parents for a new wheel?

if you are riding so fast you dont have time to slow for a dog that might perhaps be in your way, what would happen if it was a small child the other side of a berm or switchback?
maybe people should asses their surroundings better before getting into these situations.
many time have I come across animals, children etc on trails but have never hit one or caused an accident to avoid one (maybe i just ride too slowly..).
and I dont get upset that something / one has spoiled my Strava or whatever its called, just deal with it and carry on enjoying the rest of the trail.

think people need to realise that everyone will do their own thing so suck it up, dont let such petty things upset you and get on with it.
