I have the set, girl (5) and boy (3), hard work yep, costs lots, yep, independence gone, sort of, but boy they brighten up out lives. They make us laugh, have shown us what total unconditional love is, and have made our lives complete. We’re not adding to the world population, we’re just replacing ourselves and we are bringing them up to respect and love this ball we live on. In a weird way they have also helped us come to terms with our own mortality, we as animals have a job to do, pass on our genes, we’ve done that so as wiggo would say “job done”

(+ put the groundwork in now and hopefully when they are better off than we are, they’ll be paying for the cruises in our 60’s)

cool, if anyone has uploaded routes onto garmin connect and would share them that would be great…just got my edge 500 and uploading routes :)

Pretty sure you can ride somewhere, save the route and reverse it back too.

who cares, kids needs to play more, people tend to go nuts when schools shut for a few days as if a whole generation will turn out to be numpties because of it.

the original post was just to put my mind at rest should i splash out on a new parlee or cervelo frame to replace my litespeed vortex, but seeing as the frame is still in tip top condition i’m hoping i’ll not need to… just vanity / buying urge…..

did see a nice vortex on fleabay with a cracking (!) BB crack from weld into tubes…oh i hate pics like that :(

now then… you are buying a carbon road frame, you have 2K to spend, what would you go for / or avoid???

i bought a 2005 litespeed vortex which had the ‘normal’ external headset as a custom option. its the nicest bike i’m had as of yet. I’m 72kgs and dont have any flex issues with the frame even when out of the saddle putting the hammer down. With that cash i’d got for a custom BAUM.. dream frame, you may even be able to get a cheapo ticket to AUZ to get measured up in the shop :)

managed to bag a ‘new’ set of 3D cranks with ti axle, ceramic rotor BB and q rings for £300 on Bike radar… happy chappy…

£400 with rings from velotech :(

jep, just wanted to check as i havent taken off the red cranks since i had them – thought it was a case of just removing the spacers
