my turner badges came with some small self tapping screws. marked up the holes for the badge, started off the holes with a small drill bit and then drove them home, simple. I have the turner bit if you want it
    cheers

try cleaning the cable, could be some crap in there stopping the return. also check that the leaver isnt hitting anything on the bar as this will stop the return when pushed to activate the return. All else fails take it apart and give it a good clean

depends on what size you have:

    from the turner archives:
FRAME SIZE Small Medium Large XL XXL
    D: Head Tube Length 4.25″ 4.5″ 5.25″ 6.25″ 7″

I’d say yep it would be too short, (based on my flux and 5-spot numbers) but add them up

make sure if you go for Henckels you get the ones with the two men on the logo and not the single man (as with the amazon deal). The single man denotes the far east produced knives whereas the double man denotes the german produced ones.

I got a set of 5star knives off my folks many years ago and they are the dogs…. ive also managed to get a few single knives which are seconds (blemished) from TKmax for peanuts.

    thanks folks,

Pieface….we have a fleet of bikes which we use to run skills courses for groups of all abilities and challenges in and around the Highlands. We work closely with active schools and with pupil support to provide opportunities to disadvantaged groups to get outdoors. You may have not ever been to the Highlands but we are 9 miles from our nearest (and only) city and work with many groups from there. I understand your sentiments but we are ‘doing our bit’ so to speak – (we have a group of children ((expected lifespan 35yrs!)) visiting us from chernobyl in june to do mtbing, this is their 7th visit) I hope you ride a recycled 10yr old mtb?

the new flux DW link looks the biz and has been getting rave reviews although looks fugly compared to the 4bar (mines a horst link kinda bike)_. Basically your in a certain bracket if your considering these makes so i’d do my best to ride as many as possible as see how they feel on the trail. Would be aright pain in the butt to spalsh out £1.5K+ on a frame that aint quite right

spent 2 years over there and wish i was still there……the supermarkets had seasonal foods, the folk there were amzingly friendly, the landscape is ‘awesome’ and the riding out of this world.

must agree with adamM, not 1 bike shop stocked any ‘exotica’just way too expensive so take an xtr/k1ng/fox equiped Turner over there and you’ll be the bell of the ball…saying that though many of the cities were outdoorgeartastic as everyone seemed to be into ‘tramping’

Once the nippers get a little older and my lottery win comes in, we’re off back to golden bay…

oh, and the reason we now live in the Highlands is becouse we wanted a place similar to where we were in NZ.

£70 for a replacement key for the picasso…..Have been told that the new landy freelander keys cost around £400 as you need to change a load of electronics with it….

Seems like another way for the ol car companies to get more cash out of us…hold on, dont we now own most of the car companies?????

there is a family down the road from me who have 12 children, let me repeat that 12 children. They are called the D’s becouse every one of the kids names begins with a D.

The father is a nice enough chappy but neither him or his wife work and they have been given 2 council houses to house the brood. Each rubbish day they leave out 4 wheelie bins and on recyling day there is never a box left outside.

Now I worry about the amount of washing my little girl produces as we use washable nappies and struggle with the idea of ‘pampers’ nappies spending up to 100-500 years to degarde fully. I shudder to think what the D’s have produced and consumed as they appear to be lacking the knowledge to make informed decisions regarding the impact they are having.

For me, two children will replace my wife and I and even though by living in the west they will consume a trillion time more than a similar family in botswana, i hope we will instill in them a reverence and respect for the earth which will hopefully help reduce the burden they place on it.

‘pedigree’ saw a program on the box not long ago about pedegree’s…mmmm looked like a nice way to mess up the breeds….

amazes me that farmers fields get trashed if they plan GM crops but no-one goes round lopping the heads off those crazy looking wrinkly dogs that some dodgy breeder has produced…IMO

another vote for ‘Ardbeg’, lovely and peaty, definatly one of the finest whiskeys out there.

Dalmore is nice (about 7 miles from my house)

but for the best you have to go for Bells, or Spar special 2 yr old blended, although i remember getting smashed with a lovely gal named nicole on some stuff called ‘Glen dew’ from the co-op…. this was when i was 18 (some years ago) and we were skipping off lectures for a bit of afterenooon la-de-da
