I think location is a factor, my mate took a tumble on the ice which out on a gravel ride, 30mins for the ambulance to get to and 45mins for the first service to come and get him off the ice and into the ambulance. slow speed tumble completely shattered his tibia and knee. a knee rebuild the next day and whopping scar. We live in the highlands of Scotland so i suppose population density is a factor….

As child I had a medical condition that meant I had to eat handfuls of soil 3 times a day to survive. Lucky my older brother told me about it

Took my goldfish to the vets as think it has epilepsy. Vet claimed there’s nothing wrong with it. I said “you’ve not even taken it out of the tank yet”

well, shes finished. cranks, BB and nice Pauls bits eventually arrived from the states (bigup for AVT bike, no import duty paid on the parcel) took her on a maiden voyage today and bagged a CR and some silverwear to boot. few changes, swapped out the Pikes for some factory 34’s (used) as stupidly i didnt realise that Pikes dont have a lockout… the moots post was for bikpacking trips, still waiting for some crank bros highline 7 droppers to materialise. once the hoards (and midges) leave the highlands, ill head west for a bikepacking trip in sept, the geom is spot on, not overly slack which is nice as im a 20yr XC racer at heart…

2 moots here, old one and not so old one, ti for me all day long. the workmanship on those 2 frames is out of this world, both 2nd hand as no way would i pay the new prices…. regarding a new ti frame….

i also have lynskey GR270 gravel which, TBH, is the most versitile bike ive ever ridden. 700c wheels and it does road well, put a set of lauf grit SL forks and 650b wheels and it will handle most of the rough stuff i throw at it. used it bike packing, done 300km+ day rides on it with no issues +, got great deal from Lynskey direct (even with the import duty) and has a lifetime warrenty so no issues if any cracks appear.
