yeh, id heard theres a few parts that could get rather wet and boggy.. gonna try and do it when theres been no rain for a week or so, might be a while away though!

I also had this problem. Started when i did a long walk.. had to cut the mileage down on the walking then eventually stop.. didnt ‘really’ trouble me biking, but recently noticed as my distance is going up im starting to get a niggle.. cant stress enough about stretching and the foam roller has helped but ‘really’ painful!

im thinking of doing exactly the sane thing.. i too use the granny to try and get up the steepest stuff, so wouldnt want to sacrifice it if i went to 2 x 10.. watching this post.. 🙂

I currently run 3 x 9 xt chainset, xo shifters,xt front mech and xo rear mech..just not sure if the lowest gear on a 2 x 10 set up would be low enough to climb as im thinking i sometimes find wanting for a lower gear on climbs?

i had them and thought they were poo. went and bought a set of bontrager xr4’s, way better..

that seems quite ingenious, i suppose that could apply to a lot of droppers..?

30.9 only but you can shim it..38 or 42 refers to length.. 380mm or 420mm

As a few peeps have mentioned , it will be a bit of a slog uphill but great on the way down.. i had an alu one but kitted out with xtr and X0 spec stuff.. still weighed quite a lot, if you could get your hands on the ransom ltd it would prob be better..

Went into my local spesh dealer here in glasgow and was told that it wasnt available in a 31.6 :(. was thinking about a shim but cant get a shim from 30.9-31.6.. so now looks like ive either got to go for a GD or reverb.. not a happy chappy!

I was in maspalomas in gran canaria last march. Did a 3 day tour package with http://www.free-motion.net/en/mountainbiking/gran-canaria-winter, excellent guiding and decent bikes (cannondale rz140’s) english speaking guide by the name of jamie, fri ride was the best, excellent singletrack and pretty full on techy descents..

if you dont mind, could you drop me a mail when you’ve tried it out and give me your impressions..? definetely leaning more to one of these now than the reverb..

only reliability prob i can see would possibly be a sticky cable, i take it you also thought about reverbs and GD’S.. what swayed you towards the command if you dont mind me asking..?

Benn to glenshee and glencoe already last year, coe was awesome on the 17th dec.. will try and get up most weekends weather permitting. Off out to morzine start of march, cant wait!

Ive used them to send a bike, no problems either end.. picked up when they said..

im also swithering about which dropper to get, leaning more to the gravity dropper turbo but was considering the reverb as it does look nicer, but GD just seems more reliable with less to go wrong.. and it seems they now do the GD in a 31.6mm.
