I drove from glasgow to london to pick up a roadbike. . I was driving a car that returned 65mpg and hooked up with some pals I hadn’t seen in a while so killed 2 birds. 🙂

Really like the look of the evoc 280 but its pretty pricey. All the other bags ive seen advertised dont look very sturdy and look as though things could get damaged if items were piled on top of them..

Im 6ft 2″. I ride a large defy carbon.. i have a 35″ inseam, short torso and long arms. running it with the factory 110mm stem. I used to have a cannondale synapse in a 60. geometry never felt right, changed stem etc and just couldn’t find the sweetspot. Tried a spesh 58 and a 61.. 58 wouldnt allow me to run enough seatpost and 61 was too big on the reach. I find the large defy ideal, right amount of seatpost and t/tube is 575mm which is perfect for me.. hope this helps! 😀

@oldbloke, that sounds like a nightmare. Im looking at the facelift 08 plate’s. Wouldn’t go for one unless its had the belt and pump changed.. i know there prone to dmf’s going, but unfortunately most diesels these days have the same problem.. but 3 seems excessive!

Yeh i did that.. theres no info anywhere on internet about sizes etc though, apart from stroke.. tried measuring eye to eye but not sure how accurate this was as mm can make a difference.

All depends wheather you want a ‘satelite’ 5.1 system or floorstanders, standmounts and a centre..

    nice satelite system here:

Ive got a defy composite 1 with ultegra.. had a cannondale before with tiagra. Huge difference between the 2 groupsets but not sure how much of a difference you’ll notice between 105 and ultegra apart from weight. Ultegra is slick though. If you shop about you could pick yourself up a 2012 composite ultegra fir about £1100..:)

had this dilemma a few months back.. i was looking at the civic 2.2 diesel, audi a3 1.9 tdi, seat ibiza 1.9 fr diesel.. and also threw a saab 9.3 tid airflow 120 into the mix. I’m still looking. not going to go with the civic as everyone i know has had to replace clutch’s in them and there not cheap. seat just seems a bit plasticky but great apart from that. ive boiled it down to either the saab or audi.. leening more towards the saab as you get more bang for your buck and ive had one before and it was faultless..only £15 pa more in the tax bracket as the civic also. looking at this..

I was getting ‘flutters’ when resting.. went to docs and sent to hospital where theygave me away a recorder that i was wired too.. had to wear it for 3 days. everytime i got a flutter i had to look at the recorder and write down the exact time it happened. returned to hospital to get results and it turned out it was an ectopic beat.. as above, cut down on caffeine was the main one and living a bit healthier..
