Or does anyone know the difference between the RD010 and RD020 hub as I can locate a rear axle kit for the RD020?

Hi again. It turns out its end cap replacement on the front and axle kit on the rear.

I’ve located the front caps , just need the axle kit for the rear.  There’s a set on eBay bu ext I’m not based in the UK unfortunately. Am I right in saying that these are novatec hubs, so would a generic axle conversion kit do the job?

Thanks for replies. There disc brake 50mm carbon rims, they came on a bike I bought and swapped the wheels.

Yeh I know about CRC going belly up unfortunately.  I only need the end caps if they can be swapped out for the QR ones that are on it just now. I’ll drop the eBay seller a message,

    Cheers

Hi. I’m looking for the thru axle caps for these wheels if you want to part with them?

Thanks for replies. Never knew there was a job section on here so will put it in there. It would obviously be better suited to an EU worker as anyone from the UK could only do 90 days in 180. All the relevant details would be in the ad, not on a post asking about where to put it. Will also put it on pink bike if they have a jobs section.

    Cheers!

Cheers. Yes I’ve followed the video. Got as far as stripping it all down but can’t seem to get the master cylinder out  (even trying to push fluid through to push it out!).  I’m stuck!

Just resurrecting this! I’m having exactly the same problem. What was the actual fix? Do I have to take the reservoir etc out , clean and reinstall?

On hunt wheels is it not just a case of changing the end caps on the hub.. fairly sure it is.

Great, thanks. Were you having similar problems?

Thanks for replies. I think it may be the threads on the wheel as I’ve tried everything else.

    Cheers

Sorry, should add that this is a cheap cassette freewheel, not a freehub with a cassette.

Thanks for reply.. I was wanting to fit an 11-36 11 speed onto it but never knew I could fit an 11-34 onto a 10sp hub!

Ahh, i was wondering what that pin thing was for. Its on a road bike, but i imagine that doesn’t make much difference?

After striping it down its definitely the piston seal (bike was sitting for a while unused). I can see replacement seals for the BR805 caliper but not the 505, does anyone know if the seal is the same?

@scotroutes what ultegra mech are you using? I was going for the R8000 but I thought it would only cope with a 34t cassette..

‘desperatebicycle, there was a lot of grease in there from factory blocking the holes so removed some of it. tRemoved 2 tokens so now running 3 with around 85 psi, feels so much better! thanks for everyone’s input.

They were 120mm bought new and i changed the air shaft to a 140mm. Looks like i must have been getting mixed up with rider and psi.. After reading the comments I’m thinking of going down to 3 tokens and 85psi and taking it from there..

So in the end i put a strip over the spoke holes and a strip from either side so covered every base. Tried to seat tyre and air is coming out of the valve hole.. 🙁

The one i took out was 8mm and the replacement was 6.5..the seller says the one i took out was the wrong one which would tie up with what boardinbob says, there’s also about a 2mm gap between the race and the bearing, is this normal?

Thanks for the reply. Yes i’m aware that its low end but its just for a basic mtb so not wanting/needing to upgrade and there is far more availability for the tourney than the acera.

    thanks
