Yes great fun 44 years ago worked in a quarry
running the rotary crusher and a big ( van sized rock ) would be delivered
but fail to enter the rotor so it was shut down and get the hand sized lump of plastic explosive out of the desk drawer and a Detonator from the drawer underneath and climb into the crusher and apply both with some clay
climb out and start the rotor and push the plunger KABOOM and if you did it right the rock was gone if not repeat . it took 20 minutes for the rotor to spin down so production bonuses were at risk if you failed .
also good fun helping the drillers rig for blasting

A cooked chicken from a girl guides camp site catering tent when in our teens .

we did an SAS raid sneaking up and under the tent then ate said chicken in the woods .

But someone saw us and told the local gestapa who went round to my mates house and under intense pressure and torture he confesses and also implicated me .

result in an appearance before the magistrate and £20 fine each
and not to forget the piss taking from all our mates which still happens even now
a prank that went very wrong as £20 was over a weeks wages at the time but they did let us pay £5 a week

    I dont think 29+ will fit in a mk1 Puffin ( i could be wrong here )
but I have just gone down the 27.5+ for my mk1 Puffin and it rides great
and just received from CRC a pair of WTB Bridger 3.00 tyres @ £34 each
cant say what they ride like as not yet fitted em
I have a pair of Bontrager chupacabra 2.8 on at the moment great on the road but not on the mud or wet limestone

been enjoying the Fatty for 4 years and still like em
but getting to be an old bastardo and pushing those fat tyres gets harder
    the semiskimmed works for me
and you did ask about thinner tyres

    are you still doing lights

I was taught to always start the engine with the clutch depressed
as easier for the starter motor without the oil drag from the gearbox
and to avoid a jump forward if left in gear

I had a loaner VW T6 a few weeks ago which had the heated screen
bloody terrible in the dark with the filaments showing up in the oncoming lights and flaring badly
certainly put me off any heated screens in future vans

What happens to them if you drop it down the trail and smash up the computer on the bar? Does it have a limp home mode?

That is a good point and one which worries me a tad as the control unit is very vulnerable on mine

could be emergency mode is just pedal the bugger

Thats just feather screed to level the joints
costs about £22 for an 11 kg bag enough to do that to a 100 sq mtrs of plywood

dries in about 20 mins so he could have fitted your floor after the tea break .

    how much is he charging

    similar story here easygirl
I bought my wife an E-bike early this year and she loves being able to ride at a reasonable pace again .
Then got interested in them and started this thread this thread .

now joined the Ebike community with this fine machine

first ride on it sunday with my friend Luke who is 33 years my junior and had a great time waiting on top of mastiles climb for him .

its true what they say about them
Eco mode is like being 20 years younger
Tour mode is like being 20 again .

I dont understand the venom some folks have against them
what is the difference to doing uplifts to enjoy the downs
or ebike uphills to enjoy the downs ( at least you get some workout )

Anyways as I said in the OP Haters bugger off and annoy some one else

Mrs Trout before we were married was out on her hen do and my mate was picking them up from the indian
he was very into his cars at the time and mrs T knew this
so even in the pissed up state she managed to vomit down into her handbag
the first time , and into her bra the second time much to the delight of my mate but not her sister who had to clean her up
