Not really lots of mud in the lakes it get so much water that washes the trails clean
more rock and gravel so a tyre that suits wet rock would be a good choice .

Old carpet here too. but I do have an unlimited supply so when one gets dirty roll it up and skip it
pop a new bit down .

find a local carpet fitter and ask for one he has taken up .

The B2flex is just the job for your set up
however as your battery drops in voltage the driver will go out of regulation and the leds dim a little and you wont have all the light levels available .

this is not a bad thing you could look on it a a reserve tank
no harm will come to the lights .

yes will do the B2flex for £20 each

    Mowgli

there are cheaper drivers on the market but the Taskled Flexs are the dogs do da`s for sure.

depending on what battery voltage you want to run off

2 leds in series off a 7.4 volt battery then an Lflex would be the driver

your 2 leds in series but off a > 9 volt battery the the B3flex would be good or even the B2flex
I do have all three drivers in stock

the B2flex will do your 1500 ma leds the full juice while the B3flex will go up to 3 amps

so the 2000 lumens cited by mtbbatteries is likely to be the measured lumen value

NO its the on paper if driven at the maximum amps Cree stipulate .

more likely to be about 1600 ish Lupins

approx 20% increase in lumens with the XPG-2s and better throw so is worth doing
I cant take on owt till I come back and would need to order in some G-2`s

It is though it can be a little cheaper if Paypal is not involved
or you went for a smaller capacity battery
if long runtimes were not hugely important

4.4 amp hour battery gives approx 2.5 hours on full
5 hours on med and lots on low

small battery gives half those figures

Phew just back from a bastid two days working away and the postie has left a heap of Hopes and Ayups to upgrade going to be a busy weekend and still got a few to collect from the sorting office .

Thanks Milkybar-kid for the comparison I have not had a six pack to check out \ compare .

and to answer your question yes I have a couple of marked ones going at a good price .
and while I learn the art of anodising will probably have a few more test lights going for a bargain .

OK some of the boffins on Candlepower forums they like to test these things to destruction sometimes

here are the results of one such boffins tests for the XML led

nowhere in his report does the XML go over 1000 lumens
and 3 amps being crees maximum drive current you can see what you are going to get for your dollars.

I have not over come the heat just the new driver monitors and dims if it reaches a preset level .
the light can only handle full whack with lots of airflow .
but it also can have either five or three levels on the three. level 2 will I think be similar to full on the stock light.
    on full
Just waiting for Jason to report in his impressions of it in the dark.

It was a quick job and I did not get to do the before and after beamshots which I like to get.

I wonder how many people get sucked in by the ludicrous billions of lumens for pennies claims on evilbay .

Rob I cant get close to £50 for a light head with the lumens to match your existing head .

However for close to 100 beer tokens I can do you a nice 4x XPG-2 helmet light head with approx 1600 lumens coming out of the front on max

It will get hot if not moving and it will suck power from Smudges excellent cells at a fair old rate but it does have a pretty good beam and of course it will turn down in power too .
and dim itsself if it gets too warm .

    trout
    Free Member

That’s a pretty pricy upgrade but as I can’t seem to find what is in your existing light
it’s hard to give an opinion .

but it does use standard stuff so a swop out of the driver and led / optics and replace with Xmls
new driver and probably switch I guess I could come in a fair bit under that price

and you would then get a measured possible high beam of 2600 lumens. with a pretty nice beam pattern.

can’t seem to find owt about upgrading em

    Linky please

Come on Rob you know better 😉

1 led giving out 1800 lupins it’s a figment of a fairies imagination

one XML led will only go over 1000 lumps in a lab and probably sat on ice .
