last pics
the spent hops and gunk in the boiler to dispose of
compost heap or bin but keep away from the dog as hops are not good for dogs

and all tucked up in my fermenting cupboard with the yeasties added

Here is my set up as just brewing a Smoked Wheat Saison
Top is the Hot water ( liquer) tank
middle is the Mash tun
bottom is a pan to transfer the wort to the boiler

next the boiler with the first wort hops waiting

wort boiling merrily

cooler waiting to go in the boiler

And draining from the boiler into the fermenter

and here is some we made earlier this recipe
Cottage house Saison

MMM very tasty

Excelent online book here
John Palmer. how to brew

and Graham Wheelers book how to brew reals ales is a good read with lots of recipes for popular ales

be warned though you can make some seriously nice beers for £00.50 per pint once you have your equipment.

My take on the subject was to get rid of a tube all together as did not want to remove a tube and then put a split one back in
here is the thread
light weight fatty tubless

done about 400 miles on them so far with zero problems and pulled out a couple of thorns from the back tyre which sealed up nicely .

use plenty of sealant as the floater sidewalls are a bit porous at first till the sealant gets to them

Apparently Nettle stings are a good remedy for hayfever
few years ago my mate who suffered badly with hayfever had a shorts on only impromptu nettle bath and was stung all over but never suffered with hayfever at all that summer

If they find them when they xray the parcel they will dispose of the items I know this because I have just lost a consignment and got a letter from royal mail to let me know they have disposed of it

Lol JoeG

Have whipped myself for the faux pas and wont do it again

Will be redoing the foam in the front to use the same stuff as the rear so will see if it has crushed though it is different to your foam as its flooring underlay and a bit more robust than the window seal stuff.

the blue stuff seems good as makes a groove to hold the bead again will have to wait for either a
bad puncture or the tyre to wear out before the logos get aligned

I did wonder about the foam in a camping mat might be good for the job

But if we all used the search and checked out the answers then the post count would drop and the forum would die

Yep JoeG it was your thread that got me thinking
just had a ride with the back wheel done too ACE

trout
Free Member

The Underlay is closed cell poly something and as such does not absorb liquids
just been doing the back wheel and had a go without foam and no way could I get the fatty wheel and tyre to become one
However the site I was working on today had some of this in the skip

and chopped down to size it was perfect for the job

a bit denser that the stuff I used in the front so making getting the tyre on a bit harder but inflated first time

so visit your local kitchen firm and have a look in the skip :D

Stoner
With a fatty rim you may get it to inflate with a compresser
but I dont think with a trail pump

trout
Free Member

The foam underlay is to fill the well in the rim to make it easier to get air into the tyre and pop the beads on the rim

Cheers will cross the spoke bridge when it happens. though the plastidip is easily touched up if the nipple has to poke through for a spoke change

Tazzy. the idea was to remove as much as poss and not put back in the duct tape and it was using stuff i had to hand anyways

Sam. yes my calcs do include the sealant.
Sadly cant change the title now

Skipton is OK as are all the surrounding villages

Dales good riding. and easy traveling to. Lakes , North Yorks moors and numerous other good riding spots.

lots of folks move into Skipton to get their kids in at the High School and grammar school.and most villages have good Primary schools.
£900 will get a hell of a house up here .

Dont be scared we dont bite much
