Ha Ha   its an old Beam shot from about 10 years ago   way too bright to be useful on the trail .

This is an 8000 lumen bastard ugly light I used at this years puffer

no beam shots yet but was great fun on the 2 times I popped it onto full .  the rest of the time it was on very low .

power was from a Smudge 15 volt battery pack

if they are the ones controled with a resistor. I did upgrage quite a few in the troutielights era .

they had the old Cree XRE leds which I replaced with XMl leds

the casing is wat too small to run the xmls at full power  but it was a good upgrade .

I never did any of the newer Ayups with level control . so cannot comment if they are multi level .

I do have quite a few Xml and other cree leds in the workshop so can have a look at them for you and hopefully upgrade them .

Well that was a great weekend and will go down in Puffer history for sure .
Our quad team of beer swilling , log burning villains managed 97 place and we are well happy with that result .
50 pints of home brew kept us on the trails and hydrated .

I was a bit confused about the riders who just shouted rider. Ok mr rider which fooking side do you want
So I just kept going until he decided to communicate his intentions or the line widened

The other nice guys I usually was out of there way before they needed to say anything .

bugger me it improved in a few days and cleared up in a few weeks
He also keeps checking it out most evenings by pulling my socks off and having a good sniff around .

David the folks Rocketdog links to are total dicks and heading for a Darwin award .
legal emtb`s are the same as your bike well nearly , and one day you will be old and maybe have fubared knees but still want to ride the trails so thanks for the suggestion that I need to licence and insure my legal ebike .

dont use this thread as an ebike knocking tool but do use it as a dickhead illegal modding knocking thread

    Where about in Yorkshire .

If near Skipton then I can help .

Floor layer for the last 43 years .

    Forget Hardboard it’s shite.

Minimum 6 mm plywood to smooth out floorboards.
And of course there are good and bad cushion floorings available .

Do it once and do it right

I am with Whitestone. 16 c is plenty
Mrs Trout insists on both bedroom windows open at all at home time .
The colder the bedroom the happier she is .
I hate central heating and blame it for much of the health problems of the modern age .

Yes I am old and as a child had a weekly bath in a tin bath in front of the range
Ice on the inside of the windows was normal most winters .

By ek it was tough them days

Being in the flooring trade I have found vynil floorings make stuff slide about in the back of the van
    So I use Flotex sheet
    It’s waterproof. And won’t rot
It’s carpet that acts like vynil
You can wash it. Scrub it and normal mud. Dries and can be vacuumed off it .
And very easy to cut and glue down

f you had any sort of legal basis for your position, you should have just gone down the legal route in a professional manner.

Come on Mattyfez. If that had happened this thread would only be 1 page long
And as I have been bed bound with back trouble. It has kept me off dreadful daytime tv

Just needs some more bonkers posts from Ling. As getting too serious I hope she stays about after this thread

These E bike threads never fail to throw up the haters. And the users then feel they have to justify their usage .
Which is bollocks they are legal and here so get used to them .

The Trails , Bridleways , trail centres , rights of ways. Were I thought for everybody to enjoy be they purist human powered riders. Or legal Pedalec bikes And there will be dicks in the whole spectrum of the outdoor enjoyers .

My own justification of owning a fitness compensator is
I am nearly 63 have been riding mountain bikes since they came on the scene. And before that made my own off-road bikes .
While 42 years of fitting floors and riding bikes have taken its toll on my knees I can still do decent rides on the anologue bike but when I go out with my normal group who range from 30 up to 63 the E bike means I can keep up with them and still have fun .like last Sunday we did 41 miles of the pennine bridleway with 5008 feet of climbing which on the normal bike would have meant I was wrecked for days after but with the E bike I was good for work on Monday .
And no one was inconvenienced on ups or downs

And a week ago we were doing Gisburn and shock horror saw a Youth on a spec ebike doing the Hopeline and having heaps of fun and from what we saw no one could catch him going down for sure .

Just maybe some folks need to chill out a bit you will be old one day and I am not hanging my pedals up just yet

all the guys who sacked it off I can understand but you missed a cracking day
99% of the guys n Gals had huge grins behing the mud face packs your skin will be so soft this morning Ha Ha .
