    Weird thread this one
most of the criticism is from non Fatty riders and as to be expected heavily defended by the Fatty owners .

Does it need Chris Akrigg or Danny Mac to do a film before they are excepted

Anyways Fatbike owners dont really give a toss what others think or say they just get on with having fun on their chosen cycles

Bluto forks are Ace by the way

Seems to me the stone flips on its side and goes under the pedal which then flips me
I did hear a metalic thud just before losing control

Can you all seriously tell the difference ??
and your asking it to work in a vast range of terrains and conditions
I doubt any one could do a blind tasting and tell which tyre is which

    Its a bike tyre
    not a racing car tyre

Or another way is a hop tea

pop your hops in a Cafetiere add boiling water / steep for a while
and add the hop tea to your brew when cooled .
    the instant dry hop method

The whole point of fatbikes (excluding sand and snow) is to have massive fun on them. Do you think suspension will somehow diminish that?

Well a week in and tried it on a few local ( yorkshire dales ) trails and its very good on all the ones so far.
And nope having bounce on the front has not diminished the fun at all
it has meant my wrist ( fubared from 35 years of wielding a stanley knife ) does not suffer as much when the gnar gets gnarly .

I think it has transformed the Fatty from fun to funtastic , Rockshox have made a cracker with the Bluto

Banana skins I believe take absolute ages to decompose compared to apples………and robins and other wildlife font eat them!

The banana skin I left on my lawn went black and had disappeared with in 2 weeks so me thinks that is a bit of an urban myth.

also Blackbirds love apple and I chuck the cores on the lawn and gone pretty fast

My Fatty has a Hope 34 retainer up front and an 11 x 40 10 speed on the back and I find it a super setup
But not going to be leading out many roadies on one

its not good on the road with the nobbly tyres but with some semislicks is pretty good
always going to be some bit of your ride that it is wrong for but for the rest you will be grinning all day .

I love mine and even more so not it has a bit of bounce up front
currently running the front at 10 psi and the back at 12 psi works for most of my rides but do lower them a tad when on gnarly stuff to avoid the suberball effect

I built a couple of wheels with Hope Fatsno hubs and your rims and spokes
and have had to make 2 x 7.5 mm endcaps ( I believe Hope are doing a 150 hub soon )
also made a spacer for the disk +7 mm

Headset I used the original Smoothie and just needed to machine out the crown race as it had a 1.5 bearing in

    Clearance is good

    latest update from Sam

    Hi all,
Finally some positive news. I’ve had notification that the the long awaited ship full of Puffins will finally arrive in the UK on the 8th of June. All being well with local customs I expect to start shipping frames on the 16th of June.

My apologies again for this taking so much longer than expected, thank you for your continued faith and patience – not long now. If you have changed address from what you originally gave me please let me know by email to sam@singularcycles.com when you can.

    Best regards,

    Sam
