Been shut a while. Friend in the area advised it was because of cost of rent /rates on premises and lack of daily visitors makes it difficult to run profitably.he looked at numbers and could not see it paying.

Alpkit ok but difficult to pack away, does not self inflate and I have suffered a couple of punctures on stones when directly onto ground, good value and decent insulation though.
Check sports direct as they sometimes have some bargain mats in store or go outdoors too?

    Thanks all.
Any other factors we should consider? Can I get differnet crank lengths individually or would I have to get him a pair in two sizes?

I live near Preston and would be happy to go over the bike and show you the basics on how to look after it.

Courses are available through places like Edinburgh cycle coop (Manchester) sites .Have a look at their website.

Finding a decent shop is tricky, local cycle shops see a lot of kids bikes and do pram wheel repairs and often don’t have any experience of MTb specific issues. I’ve used places like Leisure Lakes at Tarleton and found them ok but they tend to have long lead times for workshop bookings. So much so I got qualified and I’m running a mobile cycle repair business based in Preston .

Get some proper legal advice from mentor or peninsular etc. basically you need to start a formal management process. 4 weekly review period, weekly call in/documented discussions. If target not hit at 4 weeks then warning. Second period of 4 weeks same process, second warning then final 4 weeks same process. It should take you 12 weeks. BUT if he can demonstrate a lack of close management support tribunal can sometimes favour employee. You need to collate all correspondence and emails you have had over period he has been employed. Agree with space monkey above you could be in an awkward spot if you have taken 12 months to realise you have a problem with performance?
Don’t offer compromise agreement as you should be able to get him out if you do the above for 12 weeks.
    Good luck

If you use lube on threads don’t the nipples work loose?
Similarly if you loctite them on does that mean you can’t adjust them if they go out of true?

Just fitted a set of Megas to my new build, they are older I think 2009 and I’m very impressed with performance 203mm Front and rear, they are progressive and the lever action I think is much better so far than my Shimano Deores with similar sized rotors.

    Couple of questions

Cable routing = ghost shifting? Anyone got some simple solutions to this?

Rear shock setup- My experience of Full Suss is limited so it may be my technique, but traction uphill on trails is a real struggle, any bike set up tips for me gratefully received.

    Thanks

Much better now the file has been out! Still noisy but at least I feel like its improved. No dropped chain and gearchanging is smooth.
Thanks for all opinions and advice.

Digby, thanks you are right, I have the 2010 frame so a smaller BB but running a single front 36T ring so need a different type of chain device I think. The stinger is for doubles as it has only a btm guide? I need top and btm.
I can file the top guide out a little to stop it catching in the larger cogs but this does not sit right really… bit of a bodge.

Well fitted a superstar one and its ok, just really noisy in the higher gears adjust it to reduce the noise and chain drops off, so I ‘m not convinced its the right solution.
