I’m gonna go ride a 15 mile loop along the red dust roads ,through the sugar cane farms and along side the rice fields,then when i near the Chedi ,i will turn around and do the route in reverse(as i binned off todays ride to watch a movie with the wife) before going food shopping in a non Christian country that this afternoon had not run out of food or goodies.

Cannondale Beast of the East ,when BB where high, chain stays were short and THICK THICK tubes ruled , Grip shift ,hydro brakes and 18 years old ? makes yer think .I love it and ride it when i can ,the brakes are a nightmare to set, but are on/off and powerfull(anyone remember 1997)the bike eats thrashing, it is the second best frame behind a PACE RC200 ,retro heaven no other way.

Not Europe i know but Thailand end to end .Nong Khai to Phuket ,do it Jan or Feb to escape the hot weather and rain. Its a touch under 1000 miles and whilst misses most mountain ranges is comparable to London to Brighton but 15 times longer. This nearly happened to me in Thailand in 2001 in Koh Samui ,this chap said to me in the street “nice shirt”(i was on my own )”thanks”i replied , a bit wierded out that a man said nice shirt to another man,i got chatting about his sister who was starting work in London later that month ,would i like to meet her ect ,then he mentioned the hospital where she was going to work (i knew there was no hospital there and he was scamming ,when he invited me to play cards i left very quickly and basically managed to leg it qick and into a passing taxi. Spoke to a english lad later in the week who lost £2000. Police same as your mate as Ileagal gambling. I went back 2 years later and he was still there scamming on the same stretch of road ,he even tried the same lines on me a second time ??? Always be careful as there are very few “friendly locals” in large touristy areas.Think about it would you play cards with SOHO locals ???

Just Back and all i can say is AWESOME .Very well done to all involved. Well worth the £8.50 parking . So much more flow and very fast it is bermalicious?
