i’m just back from work – update time, The dog has gone to dogs trust(where he came from) they have been told the full story as well as details of father passing and upheaval . They gladly took him and will send him for assessment and rehoming. The police have said no crime has been committed as the dog did not set out too bite and was just being a dog. It has been a terrible terrible 24 hours . We believe we have made the right decision and after looking into things the dog has had a few episode that we chose to ignore.
We are only glad that nobody got seriously hurt (the girl has a minor mark) My mother is 70 , my wifes pregnant and i work away .Thanks for the replies mostly positive Except the generalist? hmm ? hopefully the post can close thanks .

Thanks for advice.. tough decision but cannot be on pins every time we take for a walk. Police have said no crime has taken place as the dog did not set out to harm. Insurance company can take care the phone if a claim is to be made … tough call ,hard decision …………very sad.

Taking him to dogs trust for re homing- My father died 2 months ago and he is actually my mums dog , so i reckon he is just a bit over protective at the moment, he was startled whilst going through a gate as the girl just pushed through whilst my wife was opening the gate. Dogs trust can find him a home – he is not bad natured never has been but just doing his job. Any way , we don’t want the risk with the newborn or him jumping at strangers as my mums 74 and if he pulls either my mother or wife over could be super serious. I am taking him to Leeds to day . Sad day saying good by to a bezzy friend ?

Up date – on sky , after emails back and forth they have refunded my money .6 months payments. I have invested the refund wisely , a set of Fat bar carbon bars, crank brothers skewers and a 80mm cobalt stem , (the only part of the “old ” bike thats left are the forks ).

I had two wedding rings both bent out of shape from working ,so last month i took them to a jewelry repair shop and asked the man to melt them both down and make me a new super sized one. He let me watch him do it all in the workshop – melt them down in a mini furnace, then he made a mini bullion bar (that looked amazing)heated and rolled it down, then joined and smoothed the join, before giving it to his wife who buffed and polished it ,it took 45 mins start to finish and cost £12. I am in Thailand though? It was fascinating all the same .
