    LB is Light Bicycle

Don’t forget that LB do not include the nipple head in their ERD. My calcs say 290mm for the rear wheel.

    The lowers (4) are 6001 2RS and the uppers (4) are 6901 2RS

“Good point, do they work tubeless? Not that I do currently but I’d like a fit and forget solution, and would like to have the tubeless option available.”

Then the obvious answer is to Use Stans tape (other brands are available) then you are coverd for all eventualities (and its lighter than Velox tape) win win.

I built up a pair of LB 27mm (internal) rims to Hope XC3 hubs with Sapim Laser’s and DT Alu nipples. They built up easily and are much stiffer than the Crest rims /Race spokes they replaced. Very impressed so far.

The thing that you think is threaded is actually the outer shell of the bearing. Sort that and I think it will be OK.
    Edit: too slow..

What trail rat said, plus try running it from the mains water. It may have some algae in it and mains pressure will help to flush it. Also running from the mains will give a higher pressure at the nozzle which will make the job easier.

Bulb front hub QR’s screw together. Normally use 2 5mm Allen keys to unscrew. If you look in where the bearings are you should see a cirlip groove for the 20mm adaptors.

Good to hear all is well, a bit of healing time now. Was shocked when I saw Essel’s pics, two years ago!

    All the best

648 Retaining Compound, but you will need heat on it when the time comes to replace the bearing.

I had a similar problem with mine. Sent it back to the supplier who sent it to the importer. Got a message that it was faulty. Lost all the data, but got my money back.
Hope you get a better result.

Can you measure the width of the cassette? Just checked 9 & 10 speed Shimano @ 36.7mm (approx)

If you have access to a router and TCT bits you will get a good result.

I have an Electrolux version. It works well, wish you could leave the shelves etc. in too!
Makes the kitchen very hot and a bit smelly when it’s cleaning, but it soon goes away.
Can’t comment on the cost as I got mine with staff discount.

How accurately are you tightening the cassette nut? I have noticed that many cassettes I have replaced for people have not been tight enough and allow the cogs to move individually. 40NM is a surprisingly high torque.

I hope you have deep pockets! I had a V12 XJS many years ago and it almost bled me dry. (£100 for a distributor cap anyone :? ) When it was running (on all cylinders) it was fantastic, but those moments were few and far between. I know that the later engines, 3.6 & 4.0 straight 6’s were a much better prospect. Not learning from experience, I have been looking at an XF recently. The Jag bug is difficult to shake off. :-)

    This:

Although it looks like they might have use a different company reducer crown race on your steerer rather than the adapter.

    so no external seal.

The race in your pic is not a Hope Crown race. It looks like its doing the conversion to a 1.5 race. Are you sure the lower cup is Hope?

Edit. Mosey’s pics clarify how it should be.
