I DO HAVE CURRENTLY FOX RC4 ON MY REIGN WITH 450 LB COIL WHICH GIVES ME 29% SAG CURRENTLY ( standing on pedals). THE BIKE FEELS VERY PLUSH , ALTHOUGH I WILL TRY 500 COIL AND DECIDE THEN , AS UPHILLS ARE RATHER PAINFULL AFTER 2 HOURS OF RIDING. the shock has unknown shimstack setup as i purchased it from ebay about 6 months ago. i see that to bottom out reign it takes 1600N which is rather conservative leverage design compared to 2500N+ like on patrol or capra.. i will probably adjust bottom out adjuster if i am not happy with stiffer coil
    ahh sorry for caps..

co2 inflator and multitool with chaintool in shorts pocket , chain link taped to frame , tubeless tyre repair kit taped to frame , water bottle on bike , few torq energy bars in pockets . no backpack. water refill from a stream in forest and one coffeine energy booster gel for final stage.

kinda makes me wonder if superslack headangle offsets the need for longer reach on DH bikes as the riders weight would remain distributed accordingly between wheels. So that brings me back to my question. Why is there not enduro bike with 63 headangle and 440mm reach in large?

i managed to get remedy 9.9 full carbon frame for 600 from pinkbike about 6 months ago.

well these days i use a bike shop mostly for this reasons : get energy gels and energy snacks , get information about off piste trails , and occasionally buy consumables ( disc pads , chain links , chain lubes) never components unless its emergency as when i snap mech on saturday practice before an enduro race.

best thing would be 11sp xt mech with 10sp shifter and 10 casete

no medication , just supplement raw men vitamins and minerals( non synthetic ) , tribulus tablets few times a week .
i had tick bite few months back , but no sign of round bite that would indicate inficated tick.
    no sore throat…

i find nakd tasty , but contains too much fat which i find too heavy to digest.
frankly best way to keep energized is to mix 100% fruit juice with water (1:1 ratio) + torq bars.

great. I think i will go for reign as it is considerably lighter frame , so should be easier to get below 30lbs mark even with cheaper components.

next time we will see ordinary commuter riding in opposite direction perhaps 😀
anyway. Glenlivet best race of last year?!?!? WTF! no way. best round was tha last one at Innerleithen for sure.

I would really love to have extra 5-8 km on average every race ( basically 1 more stage) to make it more challenging.
    45 km nae bother

the main reason i went for carbon rims is lower weight.
light bicycle rims 27mm + pillar spokes laced to hope hubs 1610g incl rim tapes and valves. saved bout 300g. the wheelset is stiff and bike accelerates like a rocket now. perfect for enduro racing

completely cutt anything that contains white sugar. eat plenty fruit 5 a day is good start , avoid too much saturated fats . go for lean meat and plenty salads and vegetables for evening meals. make sure you have plenty fibre in your food also . my breakfasts are usually weetabix with milk + I add plenty berry fruit too. healthy fats – walnuts mix few in breakfast too .
fat is very important . you cant eat just carbs n protein . its all about ballance.

It would be really nice to have wolves in Scotland for sure. Just wonder how they will protect sheeps though. Wolves can cover over 50km+ distance every day.

The Marsican brown bear is a sub species of the European Brown bear and their are only believed to be 50 left in the world and these are in the Apennines of Central Southern Italy. The Marsican bears are in serious danger of extinction.

bringing back wolves and bears back to uk?! I dont think its possible really.
Where exactly in uk is place where a pack of wolves would be able to survive without killing sheeps ?! Come on please. I am not UK citizen and in my country (Czech Republic) we have a much larger uninhabited forested areas and substantially larger forests yet hardly any stable population wolves (just 5 in 2010 due to illegal hunting sadly). There are bears and wolves in Tatra mountains in Slovakia though. Sometimes some rare single bear occasionally cross borderes to czech but thats about it. We have about 3 Lynx cats in Sumava mountains I think.

in the picture can be seen graphical map of the wolves. darkest color means continual occurence , orange color means occasional occurence.

melisandre is 400 years old and it was her sole purpose to find new Azor Ahai. ironically she found him when she gave up.

Azor Ahai is a Westeros hero who is supposedly destined to be reborn and rescue the Seven Kingdoms from their days of darkness.

Jon Snow most likely is Azor Ahai reincarnated. Will be very interesting if his acting remains the same as being Jon Snow as we know him , or acting as completely new character.

so here is my thoughts :
tyrion is bastard son of mad king+ lannister wife ( tywin himself spoke about mad kings hobby of f*** wifes of lords IIRC) so Tyrion is half targaryen and possibly even immune to fire as dragons let him alive.
jon snow is son of Lyanna Stark and Rhaegar. the fact that we see flashbacks of Stark family only makes it even clearer ( young Ned etc.)
Rickon was meant to go to house of Umber ( right?) but Umbers now on side of Boltons hence the gift reference in preview for next episode – Rickon being the gift to Bolton bastard possibly.
will we see a fight of boltons hounds vs direwolfs one day?

thanks folks. best tread ever. really great responses that actually made me re-evaluate some of my thoughts!
the star system in mags – frankly its been so many years of mtb development from all brands , that it is simply not possible these days to rate a bike just 2 stars. Market competition pushed every mtb brand really hard to deliver decent bike TBH. I owned 3 bikes so far and currently have a bike that I demo tried like 4 years ago. Its 26er , its short reach for modern standard(more like medium size these days despite its large ) and it rides amazingly but I bet S Jones would moan about it . haha

this tread is well packed! did not expect that.
so to vaguely respond to some posts.
I miss Dirt – pure and honest !\
MBUK – buying occasionally.there is one folk that I sure know is proper good rider and his opinions are valued more to me. (he is on cover of latest mag)
Singletrack – buying rarely as it covers mostly XC which I dont do much.

I would like a reviewer to be able to be perhaps in top 10% of racers in some enduro race for a good indication of valued review. That kind of reviewer would be more trustworthy to compare bikes when pushed proper hard. Also having reviewers information like height/weight inseam etc. would be particularly helpful too.

guys I need to know how to correctly install my raceface atlas crankset. should I follow the shimano diagram setup as provided by Trek ?
If I understand it correctly I should not use the black 2.5mm metal spacer and the wavy washer unless I have GXP cranks, correct?
And when tightening my xtype cranks , shoul I watch the preload or just tighten the 8mm hex as hard as it will allow? I dont want to wreck new bearings..

    hello,
I’ve read many discussions yet i am still 100% unsure what is the correct spoke length.
I ordered 33mm AM 26inch rim ERD 515 mm to be laced on Hope pro 2 evo hubs 20mm front and 142×12 rear. I used prowheelbuild calculator and got these numbers:
    rear Left spoke length: 249
    rear Right spoke length: 247.8

Now here is the confusion as most people on forums claims that erd is wrong and extra 3mm of spoke length is needed. Would it be caused by people actually using shorter nipple (12mm instead of 14mm) as from what I managed to find it seams that wheel builders at light bicycle are using 14 mm pillar nipples ? I ordered pillar aero spokes of extra 3 mm lengths (251mm and 252 mm) from them so I really need to know. Should I stick to 249/247.8 and use the supplied 14mm pillar nipples or just leave it and use 251/252 and my own 12mm nipples?
