Not think user error,I’ve never over tightened purely for this reason, not sure on model,I bought them 2 1/2 years ago, this is the longest period they’ve been on,the handles pull out and they have key locks in middle,unlock/pullout then unscrew, the handles are a little loose when undoing, they have to be seated onto what I think is a nut of some description inside,I cannot see any rust on threads,on the last take off they were a lot stiffer too unscrew,in hindsight wish I’d greased.

FWIW I had the saris version which is pretty much the same design,I wasnt Keen on the bike being hauled around by dropper post, just use a spare post and seat for transporting from a2b,nowt can then go wrong with dropper which for the sake of a 30 second job too switch seat posts might save you a penny or two.

I’ve a cdf(carbon forks) which I built up from a frameset 4 years easter,it’s my go too,I’ve a handful of different styled bikes but this just does everything,I initially bought to dip toe into road riding with option if I didn’t like I could always stick wider tyres and escape into the byways etc,so after I thought yep, road bike now as I quite likey,so hence building a ti Lynskey,I have too admit that i genuinely prefer my cdf,yes it’s weighty but I love it,if I could shift the Lynskey I’d buy a ti cdf tomorrow.

Asking for trouble imo,£6500 worth of goods with two wheels and no doubt 12 gears too escape with, with no means of security by the door??come on,this could of been a lot worst for the poor chap having too apprehend bike, what if it wasn’t a non violent scrote, maybe a couple of post code gang members hooded up and armed with your run of the mill kitchen knives who need to make a few quid for the weekend???
I’ve been in a few shops that have at least a cable lock, especially with an item worth as much as that, sensible me thinks, fair play too the chap.
Could you see the getaway wheels??

True Romaance soundtrack, especially the ‘Sicilian’ scene,Dennis Hopper’s character is about too get bumped off by Chris Walken,a wonderful operatic piece but with a senseless violent outcome,
‘viens Mallika sous le dome edais’ I believe.

I too hang 4 bikes this way,the only thing I do is attach elastic bands around brake levers on the Hope’s in-case they go spongy, which they have in the past, all good now.

    Edit:It was an Orange p7

Op,I sent you some pics of mine, gave me good excuse too clean cassette,I stripped cassette and had the issue in thinking lock ring wouldn’t tighten down, lay flat hold lock in place, screw down,I managed 2.5x turns,it’s plenty tight.
Hope pics help in some way.

Just too clarify,Adam t has kindly sent one of the lock rings in the post too me,and regarding the front 15mm I managed too pick up by chance on the way too visiting an art exhibition, walking for the first time thru Sunderland when I saw from the corner of my eye a bike shop(Darke Cycles),as always I just couldn’t help myself by having a nose,on leaving I asked if by chance they would have a HB20 shimano adaptor lock ring, chap turns around pulls one out of the spares box, exchange a small fee for the pair and walked away chuffed as!!!my faith in high street bike shops is on the UP!!
    Yay!!

    Thanks again guys.

I have Hope pro2 evos I had specifically built onto my genesis cdf,my cassette is a shimano 105 11/32,if I can ill have a look today,as I recall when I installed cassette I had what I think may of had the same issue, does it look like the cassette is hanging off a wee bit??
if so mines the same and I’ve never had issues with anything, the cassette lock ring does still work as it should and tightens accordingly.
Ill double check,I could be completely wrong, but the wheels are 2.5 years old so may have a different hub which I doubt very much.

No,I didn’t think you meant that, sorry too sound short,
I think that if there weren’t any options with a standard lock ill have too go down that road,
It’s a solution which is good.

Thanks guys, too many times I’ve gone on too do some self building with a ‘bull in China shop’ attitude, with the knowledge, opinions and advice on here from you guys regarding builds its a bloody good asset.

    @belugabob
thanks for the heads up,not wanting too go down the 6 bolt adaptor route right now,I bought the centrelock hubs specifically,I’m hoping ill manage too find what I’m after.
@tojv,cheers fella,a couple of the other guys have kindly offered spares they have but if it doesn’t work out I might just if you don’t mind take you up on that.
    Cheers.

No problem at all,I appreciate knowing now that the lock ring should come with the rotor itself, ill have another in-depth search,if no luck i’ll send the trp’s back and find a pair with locks if possible.
    Edit:Thanks for the link.

Adam that’s right, the trp came without,fr axle is 10mm bolt thru, atm rear is 9mm qr but have what I think is a 142mm/12 axle as a spare that I will no doubt go with in the future as the frame will take it,and prefer as I’ve on the mtb.
R.e spare lock rings, yes I would be interested albeit they’ll fit,
    Cheers.

How did it start op?is there anyway of being able to speak with said prick about the problem?

my guess is from reading into your post and replies, your being bullied, unfortunately these types only understand one rule of thumb, again unfortunately sometimes you have to lower your standards, morals and general good normal human behaviour too get these types to understand that how they behave is wrong,Do Not be afraid, you’ll be surprised with yourself with what you can cope with, these people don’t have genuine friends like yourself, these people once approached in a particular manner will genuinely think twice,Once you treat them with lack of respect they treat you,Most of the times in these situations it’s the only way,Unfortunate as it sounds, violence is the only way they understand, and remember the law says if you are being threatened in a way that you feel your in danger your within your rights too Attack, and defend yourself.

Ill drop you a private message over the next few days.

Same here op,long story short, sent a dropper post off some weeks ago, email tennis regarding warranty claim, forward this week I have an email stating a New dropper would be sent out with “yodel” being the courier ahhhhahhh…noooo

anyhoos,I’ve come back after being away for the weekend, delivery has been made, calling card left,(Not)it’s in a safe place (Not),in the “front porch”,Noo,I have No flipping front porch,i live in a block of four flats with a stairwell where anybody can come and go,so £300 worth of belongings of my hard earned cash is somewhere other than being with me,I’ve sent handful of emails back too warranty claims, and will hopefully hear back in the next few days,as for contacting yodel, how do?I can’t see a number or website, ill perhaps look in detail in the morning when I’ve calmed a piece.

Ive been having the exact same problem ,happened after i came down hard on the front wheel 4 rides ago,i initially thought too tighten valve as air seemed tobe coming thru that area so tightened, not the case, after going 2 miles down the road went flat, yesterday had tyre off, valve out then some gorilla tape on top of whats there around valve hole and some more sealant, its held up over night so will be outshortly for third offroad attempt too see if its held, fingers crossed.

    goodluck!!
