If the latest kids bikes are anything like the on-one piccolino I bought in the sales 5 yes ago I’d say they’re a safe bet,I’ve looked as I receive email offers from them and they look a little better imo,
    What size op?
I’ve a piccolino I should be moving on,jnr has now grown into 26″,so the piccolino with upgraded shimano slx brakes will be for sale once I figure out how to drop pics.

That indeed it did come as a shock..
A talented actor who was I’m sure would of gone very far in Hollywood..real shame,I’ve just recently watched 5 Brothers which he plays a small part in,quite entertaining.
I’ve a Ten yr old who’s obsessed with these characters with Black Panther being his hero, just had to break the news to him before he sees or hears online via Fortnite or such,he didnt take it well,I’ve just put on Black Panther to give some comfort..
    RIP

As some above,Decathlon,my son is 9 1/2 wiriry as you like @ 4 9″ I initially thought he wouldnt be fuller enough too wear padded lycra shorts, they fit like a glove, their sizing in most if not all the different types of sports clothing is bang on ime,I bought some padded on the outside rugby shorts for when we ride the TC’s or in the woods also can’t fault them.

I was travelling up to Edinburgh today and stopped in a village that had a bakery open, twas the best stop I’ve made in quite some, amazing in-house made cakes n buns with the best mince n onion pie,so glad shops are opening up,
You’ll be buying one of those powered bikes soon by the sounds..

Exactly that Northwind..I actually did(for my son of course)..same as tojv always come out with random stuff,3 yr old ended up wanting magnifying glass then compass, there is no end,go in for something for a tenner then £60 odd later..
Anyhoos seeing as your here I’ve managed to break chain too short (2 links)..yes I know, school boy error..can I get away with extra missing link?I’ve tried some pins I have as spares but I think they maybe for either 9/10 they slip thru, what’s yr opinion?

Yeh, Decathlon is possibly my favourite shop for most of my purchases these days, just great gear what ever sports your into for the prices/quality compared to other shops,I wouldn’t of known unless the bike mech informed me that they have a deal with kmc, just nothing written on the packaging.

Have you looked at a Fearless Vulture?
I built one up at xmas, looks as if it ticks the boxes for them duties,I absolutely love mine, its everything my 2015 cdf wanted to be and more some..the whole experience
of purchase from Tim @ Fearless was second too none,I believe he has some more offerings in the pipeline.
There was one for sale in the classifieds a few weeks ago,was surprised tbh, mines definitely a keeper.

Yes,same as ^^^ really happy ive not took the …. through the years and not had massive amounts of expenses, had mine set up ready just incase of faff, really easy process, thankfully they done the leg work so too speak, would of liked a bit more as it fell well below three months pay but as they say ‘better than a kick in the b…’
Oh,and some how managed to have it done by 07:55am yesterday???

Was meant to say op,looks like wiggle are selling brand x laybacks for under £40 ,just looked for myself but im needing a inline that are out of stock presently they’re even cheaper at £23!!

Op,I cant see it being a problem tbh, personally ive not had anything with much as weight in the pack,I tend to if BPing to distribute it (weight)through the centre and front, with skinny(todays std) 2.3 on I still have a comfy ride, regards to attatchment onto post I have some pretty heavy duty(wildcat gear)velcro wide straps that doesnt need too choke whatever its fixed around(hope that makes sense),ive a 27.2 dia post thT thins down nearer the saddle,I have a medium rubber compound insert although ive put on 6 kgs(87kgs now) since buying I havent seen an awful lot of sag if anything its more comfy than when I was lighter maybe when it was new it was a little harder??
    Who knws.
I managed to get mine for £45 in tweeks cycles when I was passing coming back from degla, looking back I remember thinking maybe to buy a few and push them on as they were so cheap,at the time I had never seen them before and thought maybe they cant sell hence them being nearly half price.
Ive carbon on both my Fearless Vulture & Lynskey roadie, both are relatively comfy but they dont smooth out rougher ground aswell as the Use vybe post.

    trap6

Have you looked at the use vybe?ive one on my 29r rigid ss for the last 5 yrs,no its not carbon but takes a hell of alot of the roughness out of most lumps n bumps, set up with correct rbber insert away you go,I still manage a saddle bag attatched too.

Thanks guys for your input, started thinking a bit clearer today, turned one of the spare adapters I have upside down & added a shim between caliper /adapter works just fine.

    Peace.

    trap6

Zilog, did you have the clearance issue of caliper up tight against adaptor?160mm shimano is fine for clearance but the caliper barely goes over rotor, hazard a guess I’d say I would have to file off at least 6mm,any chance of pic,

Yeah,I’ve thought about modifying one from the spares box but out of the ny on dozen I have I wouldn’t trust them to stay in one piece,
carbis yes it was you on the thread at the time,
I’ve just built up a steel frameset and are keen too keep the original forks, other alternative would be carbon forks with post mount which I’m not prepared to do as I personally think frameset looks better without.
    If you’ve a spare,that would be great

    OH my…utter horse shit.
I’d rather not ramble on about the magic of the originals, but id rather sit through a session of Eastenders,I think the the writers have a lot in common.

    Xmas can ….itself???….A??
It’s mostly divorced, lonely angry at the world ‘Boomers’that genuinely have an opinion like that,No kids??or grown up and don’t contact other than this time of year??
c’mon op,you really dont have to try and bring the humbug so early do you??it’s more than easy enough to escape the marketing machine that is the probably the best time of year for most that are willing too not get wrapped up in the whole debacle if you just relax and roll with it, where headphones shopping, don’t shop during peak times, turn the radio/tv off, visit mosques,Ride year BIKE,go on holiday, plenty of things to do,Grow up maybe, enjoy the fact that it only happens once a year.
    Move along..

Yes,that’s the one, decided too have a proper look, unclipped cover of handle lock, but they’re not Allen key heads,I’ve never seen these before, more like a grip type head??not hex,bit like a rippled mushroom,or one of those little gem sweets made of hard jelly,im sure theres a socket that’ll grip, thanks for input.

Bar is wing,T track that slots onto foot pack.
No sign of any Allen key bolts,I’m guessing inside locking handles there may be a Allen bolt??
