Not doing night riding or winter commuting anymore, so there’s a Ravemen 900 going for a song in the Classifieds if anyone wants it.

Great light for the road, and (in my opinion) much less dazzling than the Exposure light it replaced.

Try here, they’re very good at exactly these sort of repairs.

Desperately trying to sell a Pinnacle Arkose in the classifieds, as it’s just taking up space in the house. It’s pretty much exactly what you’re after.

Please can someone take this off my hands ! I’d post a link to it, but the site won’t let me. Try page 6 for info and photos.

No problem, I understand.  Well, when he does get round to it, please do drop me an email, as I really would be genuinely interested, and happy to pay reasonable prices.

    Thanks again.

    Hi squirelking.

I’d definitely be interested in buying some of the cameras, if you’d sell to someone off here?

Can you send me an email with some more details and some photos to trailofdestructionATgmailDOTcom

    Cheers

Does it have to be new, or the latest model ?

Plenty of good deals around on 2nd hand kit, and from proper, reputable dealers, without having to resort to Fleabay.

Both proper camera shops who won’t do you over.

When I went to see this guy

Watching a band turn up and play a gig is just a bit crap in comparison.

Point is, there are a lot of videos where you can see what the correct technique is for dead lifts, squats, bench press, etc, because getting technique right from the start is very important.

Feel better now hun, or do you need someone to hold your hair whilst you’re sick ?

A lovely gesture, however, speaking as someone who does the majority of their running off road, you need to try on the shoes before you buy them.

Everyone has variations and needs in the their running styles, does she over pronate, under pronate, or is she a neutral runner ? Does she need prefer a thicker more cushioned sole, or does she prefer a lighter shoe ? Will she be running more on hard pack or more loose and muddy conditions ? How wide is the toe box ? What about heel grip ?

All things to consider when trying on proper off road shoes, pus throw in the variations in different manufactures sizes, and buying someone else a pair or shoes becomes a complicated process.

Also, what colour. This is very important, as my GF will testify. They have to match the rest of the outfit you see…

That is actually pretty damn awesome.

Thanks for posting, will definitely look at that later on when I have time.

Nah, gave up on FB this year, just too much junk, even when I had filtered out a lot of the unwanted stuff. Yes, it’s good for keeping in contact with scattered friends, but the phone still works.

Twitter I ditched a couple of years ago. Just couldn’t give enough of a damn.

I use Instagram for posting photos, but actually falling out of love with that too. It’s just not that good, so I’ll probably end up deleting that too, and concentrate on building a decent portfolio of my photos on a proper website.

EDIT : For the record, I actually feel a lot better and happier for deleting a lot of social media. I finally realised how much of a crap distraction it was in my life, and was really just killing time that could be much better spent.

Marble Brewery on Thomas St, and Port St Beer House, both in the Northern Quarter for drinking.

Mr Coopers is great for a posh dinner, or Pieminister on Church St for post beer re-fuelling.

Ok. Gave it another shot, and watched episodes 2 -4. I will have to take it back, and admit that it has grown on me

Some of it I like, and other bits not so much. Now wondering exactly where the story is going, but I’ll stick with it, and see how it develops.

Definitely need to get hold of a copy of the soundtrack though. Some great tunes on there.

Also grew up in Cartmel *waves at Whitestone*.

Lots of good but easy walking on the nearby fells, but if it’s raining (likely) then head to the Cavendish arms and drink Fell beer.

Then go round to Unsworth Yard and pick some up to go home with.

    Welcome to Unsworth’s Yard Brewery

    @ Angeldust.

Yup, all good in the hood over here. Actually pretty happy with life right now.

Spring is great, Summer is fantastic, Autumn in beautiful, even Winter has it merits, and New Year is fun. But Xmas….that can just **** right off !

I really do HATE all of it. The excess, the greed, the presents, the turkey, the tinsel (God I hate tinsel) the nightmare travelling on the road and rails, the nightmare family you have to smile through, the stress, the enforced joy, and every time you turn on a TV or walk into a shop, having it rammed down your gullet every – single – day from November the 6th onwards.

Just do one Santa. Bog off back to Greenland or wherever and leave me in peace.

    Yours with anger and bile.

Really ? Thought it was terrible, and I’m a big David Fincher fan.

The acting was so wooden I though I was going to get splinters.

Will not be bothering with episode 2.

Glad when it’s all over tbh, and we can get back to normal.

If I remember rightly, wasn’t there a picture of Robbie Williams in the tabloids riding a mountain bike on the trails in questions.

And so a STW meme was born…

    Off to do some research.

I’ve got a pair of these for sale in a L (BNWT as well) if anyone wants them. I get too hot to cycle in waterproof trousers, even in winter, so will be sticking to waterproof shorts.

    Go Outdoors do Five Tens.

Bought a pair of Freerider Elements for winter, and got them price matched to a pair I found cheaper online. Saved quite a bit in the end.

For balance, we are using a local agent (who also happens to be a neighbour), who we thought would do a really good job on getting the house sold asap, aaaaaand

We’ve had two emails from them in 6 months, one saying ‘I see you’ve dropped the price, hopefully the house will now sell’. The do zero marketing in the traditional sense of getting people in to view your house. They don’t give any advice on what you should do to shift the property.

From a personal experience of the people we’ve dealt with then they are total pish and I would avoid.

    Just about to dump them.

They also wanted £2.5K for the privilege of doing nothing, so YMMV.

Going to try another local agent, who promises to be better (we shall see), and if not, then Purple Bricks may well be an option. So far, they couldn’t be any worse.

Anyone want to buy a house in West Lancashire ?

Fantastic ! A proper switch your brain off and have an hour and half of entertainment with a bucket of popcorn film. There’s a place for serious cinema, and this is not it.

This and The Last Jedi, roll on December.

This scenario is one of the reasons I joined British Cycling (for the insurance and legal cover)

Looking at re-joining as I now commute solely by bike, and this is a situation I can also see happening to me. Are BC still a good option in terms of cover for an accident ?

Hope you start to feel better soon Mowgli.
