Last year was bad for me,( and the year before was all roadie stuff)… had a hip injury which kept me off most of the summer then the wife had our second child in October and to be honest I found other things to do, I even bought myself a Vespa but it wasn’t for me.

I think or hope I’ve got my mojo back, built up a 5spot and I’m just gathering bits for a singlespeed aswell as 2 road bikes so I’ve plenty to go at.

I count in blocks of four when climbing

I also start pretty low sitting down when that gets too hard I stand up, when that gets too hard I change gear and repeat, I never usually climb the complete block

Specialized suspension is pretty much spot on but if you haven’t ridden 5 spot I suggest you do

I’d say the pearl Izumi toe covers I wear when on my road bike, they just take that nip off your toes.

Intersting this as I find my old gore goretex jacket more waterproof and breathable than my new dhb event

The 15mm isn’t nearly as stiff as the 20mm IMHO, but I wouldn’t say they flex…..try zochies they were always mega stiff

Buy them without the pad so you don’t need to wash them as often

Get some built up by your local wheel builder or roadie shop they’ll last you forever and you can get them repaired easily, you’ll never buy factory built wheels again

I got ripped off on pinkbike a couple of years ago, I had the blokes email address, ip addresses, last log in, even bank details.

Rang the police countless times, even made an appointment and saw them, sat in an interview room and they swore blind there was nothin they could do about it as because the lad lived in Shrewsbury the crime was commited in Shrewsbury and I live in Wigan…rang West Mercia police and they said it was down to Greater Manchester police.

This went to and fro for a while and I just gave up, they just weren’t interested in the slightest

    Just a waste of space

Had I been driving at 35mph in a 30mph zone they would be more than interested…..cheques in the post sir

It’s a waste of time ringing the police, either do something about it yourself if possible or just forget it

Contacting the police will just waste your time and theirs, they are a complete waste of space

Don’t buy a megane unless you want windows that open themselves at night in the rain, it’s a real fault on them and its around £300-400 a pop
