As I a Wigan fan I feel I should contribute…..before I start I should add that he is one of the nicest people in football, always has been from when he came from Spain all those years ago to play for us.

How people ask what all the fuss is about on here seems a little silly, he’s well regarded as one of the best young coaches by some of the top men in football.

At Wigan he did qiute well, the players he lost over the summer, Moses, Rodallegga Diamme, do make a massive dent in our sqaud, and they’re aren’t big funds available to replace them. As soon as he got here all the big earners followed Bruce to Sunderland, so it was obvious that he needed to reduce the wage bill.

He is a builder and has brought in some superb signings like Alcaraz, Mcarthy, Mcarthur, Malony, Kone aswell as the the now departed Diame, Moses all on a really tight budget, and we have some fantastic young players coming through a lot have been on loan in the lower divisions.

Tactically he was a little inept and part of the problem was half the players we have just aren’t good enough to play the wants to play football week in week out, we could be so frustrating to watch as we either looked like Brazil or a pub team and its not easy when buying a season ticket your only going to see your team win 5-6 home games if your lucky a season.

Wigan did hold him back slightly in my view as he was given the time and trust but never the funds to really push the football club on like he would have liked, but he will never find a set of fans or a chairman as supportive an forgiving as Wigan.

Personally I think he owed the fans promotion, four years ago he took over a premier league club and now we are in the championship, we’ve had dreadful luck with injurys this year our back line was depleted, but they knew this in January.

Good luck to him and he has won us something they can never take off us.

My dw 5spot feels a little stiff when the shocks off but rides fine

Ahhh, so what your saying Dave is the mk 1 dw link 5spot has a 69 degree head angle with forks that have a A-C length the same as 150mm revs?

I always thought the mk1 dw link was the same geometry as my old Horst link, which was 69 degree with 130mm forks…..so when every 10mm sets the head angle back roughly a degree it made it 67…..

The new 5spot has a 67 degree head angle with a 150mm length fork…so I thought mine had the same head angle as the new 5spot

My advise would be to go and spend £50-60 on any brand new pair to set you mind at rest

Mine is fine at 150mm but I wouldn’t wana go any less as it stil feels a little steep……..only my two penneth worth

I’ve had this problem, there’s nothing wrong with them

I’m only 10st and find that trying to get very little on each chamber reduces travel because you seem to have too much air in the negative to stop them topping out.

Try adding a bit to each chamber gradually and be prepared to put more than you think in the positive and then even it out wth negative

My 150mm revs are now at about 147mm with god knows how much in each chamber.

It will take time

You can fit a tow bar, funnily enough I sold a 2 berth caravan to a bloke that came and picked it up with a fiat panda, it was a 1.5 diesel but just looked strange.

I know keep saying this but find your local roadie shop, get measured up properly and take it from there, you’d be surprised what these little shops can get hold of.

I rang the local police station and because the ****t lived in Shrewsbury Greater Manchester police said it was West Mercia police’s responsibility so rang West Mercia and they said It was Greater Manchesters responsibility, I even rang the met at London and they said it was up to my local police to report it to West Mercia.

Knowing this i made and appointment and my local police station, the police man I saw threatened to lock my up I had that big a paddy in there.

It was making me Ill so my wife just told me to forget it.

So in my experience the police are a complete waste of time.

I got done on pinkbike, had the blokes IP address, last log in, email address and bank details…..and the police did nothing, they just simply were not interested.

I always have mine pretty low as you always seem to level yourself when descending, so the lower your bars are the lower you will be and better balanced
