If you get transport lino it’s non slip and easy to mop or wipe
    Try Harrison’s trim supplies

Best thing is to stick some Lino down with flooring adhesive as long as your ply is flat and oil free. preferably the transport stuff like on buses but any would do and silicone the edges.
If you need any info I do this in buses for a living and if be happy to help

I have Asthma and have had a log burner for a few years without a problem, it’s central heating that kills me

If it’s only 5nm your better of with a torque screw driver, talking about carbon bars I’ve cracked my deda leggara Carbon road bars and I’ve only ever torqued them up with a calibrated torque driver

TRP spyre will make a massive differance, I’ve tried loads and the only other brakes i found better were the fully hydraulics by Shimano but I found the hoods too big for my hands.

    I’d recommend compressionless cables aswell

Can’t remember eating one in date, I always buy them with short dates on its miles cheaper and when you go out nobody cadges them

I built one a few years ago at my old house and it was fine,it was brick effect so didn’t look too bad ( and you only saw the front door from the front of the house) I insulated the inside roof with kingspan so no damp, I also did the base myself so put ground anchors in.

Don’t spend a fortune because you may not like it

Buy something you can put mudgaurds on, that way if you don’t get into it you can still ride all year round….and if you do get the bug you can buy a nice fancy carbon fandango and keep your other bike for winter

Just make sure you grease them

Make a well around were the post meets the frame with play doh, fill it up and let it drip in its self gradually with good penetrating oil may take a few days though

I thought with shimano you had to buy the complete lever or caliper?

You can but bits easily for hopes and there’s a good reason……

I like both Shimano and magura, for me they feel similar, but Shimano make the ugliest brakes in the world, I look at my xt’s and think eeewww

How are the brakes now? Always loved magura right back to the old Louise free ride days, I have an early set of mt’s on my ss which are good brakes and feel very similar to the xt’s I have in my full susser

I am tempted by some new mt’s tho

I can’t believe people still buy hubs with cup and cone bearings, once the original bearings have gone I can never quite get the the same, which isn’t too long on the winter bike especially

Bolt down anchors should do the trick and aren’t very expensive, as for locks motorbike news seem to be the cheapest and best. I wouldn’t go daft cos they’ll just cut through your frame and sell the bits.

If you buy the bike stuff you’ll pay a fortune and it’s all the same, try a dress maker upholstery website

I just bought a set of 29er disc wheels from the superstar sale for my cross bike, probably a bit heavy but they should last forever

I’ve tried one of those and it seems it only removes the actual bearings in a bb30 and not the pf30 cups, unless I got the wrong one?

It’s hard to say without seeing it, as a last resort you may have have to drill it out, starting with as fine a bit as you have and get wider until it’s just like swarf, just be carful to keep central and to shouldn’t need to go too close to the threads.

Much to the annoyance of the wife I never panted mine because I just couldn’t make my mind up what colour to paint it, I think it just gives it the rustic look

If your bothered take it to a local frame builder and get them to put it on on jig for you to make sure it’s all straight and away you go

I had a titanium frame repaired by a mate of mine at work a couple of years ago and it’s been fine, I bought it with a crack on non drive chain stay so don’t know how it happened.

My advice would be don’t do it, any of it, we had it done by weathershield on my last house, we got damp patches on the rear wall which I put down to them doing a crap job, I replaced some of the inside window cills later and the insulation was extremely patchy to say the least

and the b******s wrecked my lean too conservatory, I was promised they’d put scaffolding up, as i was at work all day I had no idea they’d put boards on it I was horrified when a neighbour told me and it took my ages to sort the leak

Of course I complained, had various people down and got nothing more than annoyed

Buy a stihl even if you have to get a second hand one I have a Ms180 and it’s a cracker, you can pick them up of eBay for around £60-70

I’ve had a b&q one a cheap Chinese one, a McCullough, a few electric ones and they were all crap compared to the stihl

I had the same problem a few weeks ago when flagging me patio, I took mine out took it to the builder yard and all the blokes too me to put it back and clean it up as it’s far better than the plastic one you’d have to replace it with
