Used a datura tubeless on the rear the last two winters, not a bad wet weather/mud tyre at all, plenty of predictable grip over most terrain types and decent wear rate too. No trouble setting up tubeless on a mavic crossmax st. Reckon it could be time to start thinking about getting it swapped for a (dare I say it) something a bit more suited to drier weather!

Another DMR vault fan here, loved every minute on them over the last 18 months or so using 5 10’s. Bought some xtr trail spds and after 1 ride on them I reckon the vaults will be going back on tomorrow, couldn’t get used to riding clipped in again at all.

Much,much more riding for me in 2014! More local, more commuting and more weekends away – Lakes,Scotland,Peaks,S Wales etc and planning on entering as many of the UK gravity enduros as I can afford!

If my shed wasn’t full to the roof of the aforementioned junk, dirt,grease,cobwebs and 2 skips worth of stuff that “might come in handy one day” then THAT sir, is how it would look. (well for a week at least!)

Really like my trabec race mips, very well made, comfy,good protection and airflow is fine but as mentioned above, really does makes my head look like a mushroom. This might just be my head shape though as every helmet I’ve ever had seems to do this to varying degrees! The other lid i was considering at the time was a Giro feature -great fit and great price, guess I’m just a name whore!

Some great suggestions on here! Mine would have to be listening to waves crashing on a beach while you lie under canvas, knowing that tomorrow will be another fine day with no work to worry about, only the size of the swell or which trails you’ll be riding!

Yep I do, not too much in this weather obviously but during the summer I wear them loads. They’re not really designed as riding glasses but I find them to be fine with minimal steaming up! HTH

Having never entered an organised bike event in my life, am looking forward to doing (hopefully) the whole UKGravity enduro series next year. I’d also like to try 1or2 of the events at the tweedlove festival. HobNob – if one was thinking of maybe, possibly looking into a round of the super enduro, where would be a good place to head for info/tips etc?

Had mine about a year and has been great so far but recently, after a full charge the power button will only illuminate blue rather than the fully charged green it used to. I managed to get it to go green once but it changed to blue within about a couple of minutes. I wondered if it was fully charged and took it out but it only lasted just over a hour on full. Might contact them tomorrow and see what they say.

I’ve never owned a set of hope brakes, always really liked the look of them and appreciated the whole British made thing and the seemingly good after sales service. However, looking through the (many!) various options is a bit bewildering to say the least! Stealth,Tech,Evo X,V, 2,3,4 etc!
Dont want to take this thread down another “Hope vs Shimano” route but xtr seems a far simpler option.
Any advice greatly appreciated.

Will keep an eye out over Llangollen way. Could well be worth a few drives through Queens Park, when some mates MX bikes got taken – that’s where they were. A posse was formed and the bikes were recovered. I hear a lot of stolen stuff ends up down there.

Moda – interesting to hear that about the spark as was thinking of getting one this weekend, any thoughts on why it’s leaked – poor design/material or a one off perhaps?
