I’m soery but how come the rear end looks assymetric in the photo, but isn’t in reality?

I think it’s quite an exciting structure with an athletic and interesting aesthetic, sort of a cross between Lloyds and a roller coaster, but I also think it’s a better structure than sculpture. I don’t see it as a sculpture any more than I would the roof of Wembley Stadium, say, which has some aesthetic similarities.

Some of you may remember this read from a while back.

    Well….something funny has happened.

Since November by health has been pretty ropey. Lots of colds, couple of bouts of norrovirus, basically very run down. It was getting really out of hand. So I started taking berroca a fortnight ago. I was feeling much better within a few days, which is great, but there has been another unexpected side effect. The amount of alcohol I can drink without getting a hangover at all has roughly doubled. I’m not suggesting this is a good thing per se, but the absence of hangovers is soooooo welcome, and the correlation with taking high strength vitamin supplement is, I would argue, quite conclusive.

    berms.

I was involved with PORC – Penshurst Off Road Club – in the early 90s and we found it hard to make a buck in the beginning despite owning the land. I think sponsorship was important in getting going; cafe and bike hire critical.

You will almost certinaly need a structural engineer, so allow for their fees too. Your architect will have a relationship with one.

I bought a Brambles sandwich from the services at Scotch Corner but as I paid with a company credit card and got a VAT receipt I expect this null and void.

Knowing that there is no VAT on sandwiches.

Thanks everyone, I agree with all the observations on speed and variability, annoying delay etc. Will check out those recommendations.

By the way, why do you say I might have DDoS’ed myself? I don’t understand…

Yes the pages are PHP generated but the server is supposed to serve static html files created by Supercache plugin, for speed. It does actually serve the static files ok, but with the delay.

I have a chest infection and will not be exercising until better. Ignored this in 2005 and ended up in hospital with pericarditis – inflammation of the membrane around the heart. Painful , dangerous etc

When standing don’t stand as if seated i.e. don’t just hover above your seat still crouched over – get stood up tall so that you can use your hips and glutes to push the pedals over and down – you’ll use your muscles in a much closer posture to what we’ve been designed for over past few million years and hopefully avoid the strains your finding now.

    useful, thanks :-)

what are you trying to prove ?

if the ht hurts go back to a fs.

I can’t really afford to get a FS I would be proud of now, and I really like other aspects of riding a HT. Not trying to prove anything at all.

I think the frustrating thing is I have been focusing in stretching and core strength, particularly abs, in the last few months. If anything it’s got worse during that period.

I should probably point out that I have a 60-70 hour a week desk job to deal with, which is going to be part of the problem let’s face it.

This isn’t meant to sound like a whine, sorry

Well, I do spend an appropriate amount of time stood up now, obviously. I have tried strengthening my core and it hasn’t helped. I will try the seat angle thing though.

perhaps we would all be a bit more polite and accurate with our posts if we all had to use our real names, like, oh……Brant for example.
    his name is dave.

sigh…the point being he has no anonymity

now the whole world knows my real name and the region that i´m living.

    fortunately no-one actually cares.

Ceramic bearing do not corrode and are very hard so they last longer. It’s that simple.

i am still on my first Hope ceramic, 4 years old now, still spinning sweetly.

I think if people feel more comfortable with a guide, even in a central area of the country, then that’s fine. Some urban born-and-bred people find the countryside a wee bit alien, others are intimidated by the technology and hype of so called extreme sports. A bit of help to get past that coud be worth paying for. At least they are giving it a go.
