These are better than the Deore for £60:

    Weird ratios though.

Awnings are noisy too by the way !!

This is the exact reason i do all my own serviceng where i can, free or not.

I suspect if you are nice and reaonable with them you may get sorted but they will only cover it up, what else can they do ?

Roger Stern: When the frame eventually arrived a month or two later it looked absolutely huge and once built up it was like a gate on me. It took a good 6 months of wrangling until Seven agreed to build me another frame.

8O Thats a good enough story to warn anybody off !!

njee20: All the custom bikes I've seen, particularly road, seem to look very odd, often having incredibly long head tubes and things

Like is said, baffled with frame building and geometry bull, its like those custom Serotta things from a few years back, the most ugly road bikes every made.

SIM only is the way to go if you want to go to ebay or similar for a handset, O2 Simplicity is a reasonlable deal, 300 mins, 600 texts on a 30 day rolling contract.

Well you never know do you !!

Serioulsy though i think there has to be a very good reason to go custom other than in between sizes, if the price is good then thats OK but i suspect its not going to be a cheap process as you are paying for someones time as well as the end product

i looked at gatting a cutom road frame built years back and came to the conclusion that a lot (not all admittedly) of custom builders will try and baffle you with the ins and out of this and that but thats just them trying to justifying their prices over a stock frame.

In between what a 16" and 18", it hardly warrants custom build unless you have a huge ape index or some other weird body shape ?

Thats why i recommended Pendle, they only do proper remaps, the guys over at http://www.vwt4forum.co.uk have nothing but good things to say about them.

I have been on the search for a T5 2.5 130 Kombi for months now, beginning to think it may be easier to get the 104 and remap it to 130 as there are a few more 104's round at reasonbale prices

    tragically1969

I dont think it is but you can still get it remapped, might have differences as according to Pendle Performance you wont get the 85 (goes to 116) up to where you can get the 104 (goes to 130), have a look here:

I have a non NV Mule, i never use it, i hate Camelbaks, they fit poorly and once you have 2L of water in it you cant get sod all else in there

I personally think there is better performance and value for money to be had elsewhere, i like the North Face stuff

thats great in theory but what if they tell you your not getting on the flight unless you pay extra per K ?

Well in theory they shouldnt be able to as it will be against the terms of your booking….again in theory !!

Yeah cheers, just read it, thanks for the pointers, its already printed off and ready to go, no need to weigh anything !!

I suspect that the limits are set by the FAA for the carriage of luggage but as usual the budgets try and **** everybody where they can !!

Yeah just read the stuff from the other thread, interesting, see what happens when i fly in a few weeks !!

I got charged £120 in total when i flew a few years back for excess baggage !!

It is the case, rad the easyjet site, its all there and i have fallen foul of it before:

    From easyjet site:

Payment of the additional fee increases your checked-in hold baggage allowance (including additional item) to a maximum weight of 32kgs. Where your total checked-in hold baggage weighs more than 32Kgs, normal excess baggage charges will apply.

Just be carefull with weight, your TOTAL baggage allowance is 32Kg.

Paying for a bike gives you an extra 12.5Kg on top of your normal allowance, so you cant go over the 32kg.

If you do, get your wallet out as they do not take any prisoners and will charge you for 1kg over !!

I have done Australia 3 times now, Sydney and Melbourne so around 2-3 hours more than Perth i recall.

In my opinion doing it over a long weekend would be a truly horrible experience.

Depends what you are into really, i guess mine must have around 2/3rds showing of a 410mm Thomson. i went through this with the Soloist i looked at the geom and nearly went with a 16", glad i didnt really.

Where are you buying from ? Might be worth dropping them a line and see what they think ?

If its the same geomotry as the Soloist I reckon you will be more like an 18", i am exactly your size and went for an 18", it has a lot of seat post showing and would be way too small in a 16" for me.

I've had 3 Cannondale road bikes over the years, 5 different steel road bikes, kinesis, kona, M&B, Specialized cross bikes, a Giant Cadex 980c, a Vitus 979, and probably some others I've forgotten about. Plus about 20 mountain bikes, several bmxs etc etc. Why?

No real reason, i just wonder what people are basing their opinion on when they say something is an amazing ride.

I have had dealings with Ribble over the years as have clubmates, i would personally steer well clear of anything Ribble had a hand in myself, but each to their own and all that !!

Reba SL 100mm on my Soloist, seems to match it quite well, the Soloist is listed on Sanderson site as suited to 100-120mm forks
