If the pedestrian were hit by a car it would be the car that is liable, why a cyclist would be different.

So you are saying if a pedestrian steps STRAIGHT out into a road WITHOUT looking, 10 feet in front of a car and the car hits them the car driver is liable ?

I think you may be slightly wrong !!

The sizing on Giants is weird to say the least, i nearly bought a Trance but i decided against it as the medium was to small and the large too big, i think they really need a M\L in the range to suit everybody

Are Jetboils not a bit heavy compared to a pocket rocket, ti pan and small cyclinder ?

Seem to remember this subject came up a while back with some weight comparisons, a search might produce the thread

You need to use conditional formatting to do that, simple enough if you read the help files

Yeah justice served and i am not defending or judging anybody but at the end of the day its assault, regardless of what he did

If you watch it a couple of times and listen for the last punch it sounds like his nose snaps

Conti's can be a pain to get on Campag rims if you have em' (as can other tyres for that matter) and the sidewalls are horribly fragile

Personally i dont think you can go wrong with Schwalbe Blizzard, i run them all year round no problems

I have recently ordered one, they bikes are excellent value. However, the customer service I have recevied from Ribble Cycles has been shocking

You pays your money you takes your chance !!

Ribble have NEVER had a reputation for giving any level of customer service

speak to your lbs and see if they can get closer to the price

Tsk, Tsk, shame on you !!

I have just been chastised over on the 'Bike Shop Opinion' thread for daring to suggest i should have got a discount on a £3K bike !!

I wouldn't buy a pint of milk on a credit card. I would however put a bike on one, which would cost the shop 2-3% in processing fees.

Which is usually factored into the 30-40% profit they make on a bike sale.

Fair do's, sounds like i am wrong, i can accept that, i just feel more satisfied if i can get a few quid off something, makes me feel better about spending !!

Well when i said cash i meant Credit\Debit card etc. they seemed more interested in a finance deal than having the cash in their pockets, which i can understand too as they get to charge full RRP for the bike and probably get a few quid in their pockets from the finance company for selling the deal.

I really rate the All Sports stuff:

Enduro Load is their race fuel:

    http://www.allsports-online.co.uk/allsports.cgi

Their recovery is second to none:

    http://www.allsports-online.co.uk/allsports.cgi

    The isotonic is good too:

    http://www.allsports-online.co.uk/allsports.cgi

And if you need a boost in the end of the race:

I have used SIS, Hi Five etc etc and its all to sickly for me but this stuff is nice to drink and goes down easily

If you have any tech questions drop them a line, they are usually very helpful

I dont work for them by the way, have just used it for years !!

what exactly is top dollar — rrp??

RRP with no negotiation, i think if you were spending £3k on a bike you might at least expect a little money knocked off for a cash deal or am i asking too much ?

Expect to pay top dollar in exchange for that service though.

I broke mine into about 4 pieces at the shoulder end around 4 years ago, i have a lower shoulder and an alarming lump where it broke, other than that i have had no problems.

I was back riding road after 4 weeks, felt a bit tender though, i wouldnt have wanted to ride the mountain bike for at least 8 weeks.

I have one, not ridden it yet though, seems like a good system to me, we will see how secure it is after its first ride though, i havent read any negatives anywhere.

By the way its a nice looking bit of kit !!

You could try ringing them and asking them to give you a figure to cancel out of your contract, they will probably then put you through to the retentions department, they have more power at their disposale to hand out freebies and keep people sweet.

But you might have to accept the fact that nothing will happen !!
