Its the newer on i have with the curved lever, it seems to do nothing through the first part of the travel and ony tightens on the last 1/4 inch

Its really hard to do the nut up and insists on twisting the lever and bolt when you try to do so.

And yes i have the right size as the first one i bought was too small so went up one size

I will be changing it when i get a chance

No, i am suggesting that if somebody "WANTS" to hear a difference then they will.

If you are so convinced perhaps you could let us all know what the physical and chemical are between 0.5mm sq telephone wire and 0.5mm sq speaker cable ?

Demonstrating differences between cables is simple.

    Seat the reviewer.

Play a CD using set of cables 1.

    Change cables.

Play the same CD with set of cables 2.

    Voila.

Oh dear, never heard of the placebo effect have we ?

As already stated, unless documented evidence can be produced its Hi-Fi 0, Physics 1

Shhhh, he's just annoyed that people think he is silly for spending hundreds of quid per meter for cables on his hi-fi !!!

    traildog

You really need to point us in the direction of this research\evidence that a directional cable has any merits in the Hi-Fi world to make anybody believe a word, after all thats what we were talking about, not the telecomms industry ?

Its all utter pish, they came up with the "aligned electrons in the copper" bull years ago to rip people off for £300 a meter cables

Just do a search on Kimber cables for a laugh !!

    And sheilding ?

He is talking about interconnects, they dont have shielding on them.

That's not necessarily an opinion shared by everyone.

I could go with that, OK food but shockingly appalling service, i dont bother anymore unless its nearly empty.

Oakley iridium are just too dark for anything but bright sun

I love my Black Iridiums for skiing in, i usually end up squinting with anything less, i just carry a Persimmon in case it fully clags in but find i get better contrast with the Iridiums right up to all but fully flat light, i suppose its horses for courses though.

The custom side of things is going to cost money, have a look here:

    http://www.names.co.uk/starter-hosting.html

£4.99 a month for a started hosting package, this includes the domain, email, photo stuff etc. etc.

Not suggesting this offers the best value out there but gives you an idea

    tragically1969

Why? Its half the price of the NetGear and twice the size.

Yeah brilliant value as a bit of scratch storage for music and ripped videos but if you are serious about having important stuff somewhere safe then its not the right thing to be looking at.

As GrahamS said if the disk goes balls up you are pretty much screwed….and believe me they do go wrong !!

That Buffalo has no option for RAID as far as i can see, if its your primary backup\archive it serves no useful purpose unless its at least RAID 1

the other thread threw up the Netgear ReadyNAS Duo, its worth a look at

No i mean RIGHT towards Hallow Bank, then left down the steep gated tarmac road after a few hundred yards, then left onto a bridleway (Low Lane), just cuts out a bit of road and is a quite nice stretch of track

Kendal>Longsleddale>Sadgill>Turn right at bottom of Sadgill, Pick up lanes back to Kentmere Village> Kentmere Hall> Over to Ings> Wilfs for brew> 90% rideable on cross i should think> Sorted
