Go for Time, knee friendly, cleats last ages, light, cheap for the basic ones, what more do you want ?

Just a word of warning though, i find most lakes campsites are to be avoided like the plague on Bank Holidays

You can't book the NT Langdale one either if thats a concern

I used them as you guys recommended them, they were awful, i ordered some SDHC cards that were shown as in stock, then when i checked the order they were on back order of 10-14 days, it then took them 3 days to reply to my request to cancel the order, then they didnt even apologise.

They also have no direct email address or contact telephone number

I wouldnt use them again, there is just as cheap out there with better service if you look

Each to their own i suppose

If you drove 24 hours a day at 60mph it would take you 155 days to get to the moon

Caveat: If there were a road to the moon, which there isn't

Eh ? SLX double has a bash not the triple ?

Shouldnt be any problem, the chainring bolts are standard but Torx drive, thats all.

You will need to go a full size up from normal she size in both Shimano and Sidi in my experience.

With a decent P&S you have full manual control over ISO, shutter, aperture etc etc

Yeah generally but P&S with that spec are generally a bridge camera and >£350, you might as well go straight for a Nikon D Whatever with the stock lens and it will be heaps better than the P&S, you then have better options for glass and flash, as a pro photographer friend of mine once told me "Lash the cash on glass and flash"

Conversely, a comptenent photographer will produce far better results from a point and shoot than an incompetent photographer with top level kit.

Hmm not sure i agree with that one, point and shoot are just that, at least with a dSLR you gave half a chance of getting it right by manually controlling exposure, aperture, shutter etc. even if you are a novice

I have just bought a new point and shoot and its utter crap compared to my dSLR even in auto mode.

I am toying with the idea of getting one and using RAID to keep all my photos on.

the Netgear ReadyNAS looks the best bet but i am holding off for the moment and looking at other options as a friend has had a nightmare with getting a Netgear one to rebuild after one drive failed, they seem incredibly fussy about the drives even when using ones that are on the compatability list.

    Have you considered these:

    http://www.thecus.com/products_over.php?cid=12&pid=178&set_language=english

Oh and i have said it before and i will say it again, NAS is a pointless bit of kit without RAID, you might as well buy a USB HDD, IMHO of course !!

Just snapped another M960 XTR crank

How and where do they fail, what were you doing at the time, i think if i was snapping XTR cranks i would either think i was doing something wrong or using the wrong product ?

Well a brand new 2010 Groupset is £239, does that give you any idea ?

Personally i would have said somewhere in between £75 – £100 for the lot.
