Not metal housing, thats exclusive to the Legend i think, the techradar review suggests the build qaulity is good and solid

Hmmm all sounding good, might give O2 one last chance to some up with a deal, which they won't of course

I have to admit i like the look of the Legend over the Desire but its not on the TMobile site anymore.

I can safely say Windermere where I am now is the best place to live on the planet!

Apart from July and August when the population is overtaken by visiting Japanese….

Kendal is good, expensive though, in fact any village within a 10 mile radius will be pricey.

The Lune valley is nice too Caton and Hornby are the bigger villages in the valley, Lancaster is a bit big for my liking, its a university town too.

Like i say you have heaps to go at, where you based now ?

Man, you have heaps to go at, towns i would suggest Kendal but its a bit further north, Milnthorpe isn't that great TBH.

There are loads of little villages around that area, all depends how much money you have, Arnside, Yealand, Silverdale, Burton, Holme all spring to mind as being nice areas to live in

Staff is faster for sure, if you watched the worlds Forsterman knocked out Hoy though by jumping him from the start with a mighty push from his starter…

Not quite in the same league as Robert Forsterman though:

Pretty sure its going to get SLX put on it so silver kit will balance it out nicely.

Just need to see one with green decals and silver stuff on it now and i am set !

FFS, its not the darkside, i hate that term….

Is it a race or a sportive, if its a race then 39×25 should be all you should\will need

If its a sportive then compact gearing would be better, you will probably have a minimum size of inner you can put on a normal spider, best checking, you might also need a new chain as it will need to be shorter

13thfloormonk, about the same height as you so sounds OK, just been reading some stuff about excessive chainsuck, a 'dead' riding feel and also poor paint jobs, you got anything to say about those, i really like the look of them but dont want to buy a lemon, its going to be used for long rides and the odd enduro etc.

Ok, cheers, now i think about it the Cotic's are very long too, might get meself one.

    tragically1969

Yeah dont know if its effective length or true, good deal on wiggle at the mo which is tempting me but comparing it to my other bikes its about an inch shorter in the top tube which is putting me off slightly.

I gave up on Look years ago and went Time, wild horses couldnt drag me back to them now, Look cleats are squeaky short lived bits of plastic, the build quality was also very shonky, bearings lasted a year on average when i was riding lots

Yes, road pedals are harder to clip into but like certain things in mountain biking it becomes second nature after a while, it just happens without thinking about it.

And all this BS about walking not being easy, er, its a road bike, how far do you need to walk, bike-cafe-cafe-bike, that should be the end of it !

This was done to death months ago, you will just have to believe us we are right, i had to be convinced last year too.

You are allowed 20kg checked luggage, you paid for a bike, that can be up to 32kg and is exempt from excess luggage charges, it cant be any clearer than that

I went to the alps last year with the mountain bike, 25kg packed including spares and bag, 18kg of luggage, no excess charges and all weighed and accepted no problems

Just print the T&C's that i linked to, hightlight the part about no excess for bikes and if you get any trouble at check in, be polite, reference them to the T&C's and smile smugly, but not too smugly as they dont have to take you if they really dont want to !!
