I often wonder if something like this would be suitable, have seen these in fairly heavy load bearing industrial applications:

You seriously need to rewrite that survey, it asks the same or similar questions about 3 times in the space of 3 pages, i gave up as i dont want to answer the same thing 3 times

If it was the intended purpose to repeat itself in similar phrased question then i have missed the point….

I think we are going to have to agree to disagree on this one.

I could never get the motivation to do a TT without a number on my back and as such i don't consider a time a time unless its done under race conditions.

Each to their own and all that……….

Well fine – but why turn up to an event? Just find 10 miles of road and time yourself!

Because its not a under race conditions ?

With all due respect it sounds like you are trying to be difficult for the sake of it.

Its fairly simple, if you want to ride a TT that a club promotes and you have to be a member of a club just join the club or one of your choice, our club costs £12 a year to join and is on that list, its hardly bank breaking amounts of money or a hardship to do so.

No you dont have to be a member, most clubs will charge and extra amount to cover insurance if you are not in an affiliated club.

It would be a horrible way to torture yourself, if you broke evens on a 10 miler you would be going bloody well

Never had a problem with susperstar stuff, they allow you to mix pairs, usually deliver within a few days

Cy, any idea when the new 2010 stock of Souls will be here ?

I agree SIS, is nasty stuff and will rot your teeth and insides over time.

Better off with water and Nuun tablets for hydration and Clif Bars for energy

Spend more than .99p but less than £5 and you will be sorted, no need for magic cables with 99.99% OFC, directional, snake oiled etc. etc.

Cheers, my main issue was with sizes as Merlin only spec the larger sizes on the 771, but looking about you can get the 771 in a 28.6 too.

I cant see the advantage of the 770 over the 771 on a HT, suppose its out of the way a little and would be suitable for a stub seat tube on FS frames.

Its the Merlin site that is confusing me !

It needs to be top pull, dont know about the swing, its a Cotic Soul, i thought they were all universal but the 770 just states the 2 sizes ?

So for guys that regularly throw there bike in the boot how do you do it without it sitting on the gears.?

Are you really being serious with this question ?

    @cycleworlduk

Thanks, tempting, may just go for those, just a quick one though, they are to go on a Cotic Soul, building it up sort of burly XC so are Flows the way to go or are 355's a better option ?

I think the Cotic's are phosphated, sure Cy posted something about this a few months back…

    1. Go to ebuyer.com

    2. Type in the following quick find numbers 149510 and 158860

    3. Buy 1 of the first one and 2 of the second one

    Job done.

I dont know how to describe the ceiling really its an old terrace house cottage and the ceiling sounds hollow everywhere but not sure if thats just because it doesnt butt up against the joists

Sounds like lath and plaster to me, in which case, good luck !!
