I saw Metallica last year, i have been a big time fan for years from the very beginning, i was utterly gutted that they were in fact shite and just seemed to be going through the motions with very little passion that they used to play with…..

Bet it does, I am 5'10" and the medium felt waaaayyy to small for me….can't help thinking Giant messed up the sizing on the Trance range there should be M\L in there.

Grizedales boring, stay away! lol I should know its next door to me!

Is that boring, wink, or are you being serious ?

    tragically1969

Grizedales not worth it unless you know exactly where to ride as you'll only do the north face loop which isnt that great

Er, ever heard of maps and guidebooks ?

Grizedale is natural, its a big **** off forest with some of the best riding in the lakes.

Base yourself in Coniston or Ambleside and buy the Lakes guide book, you won't go far wrong

What have you got, i am looking for a T5 at the moment, are you in the north i seem to remember ?

I have used them on my SS all year round, pretty good grip in all but the wettest\muddiest conditions, perfect trail centre tyre. I also like the rounded profile, seems to suit my riding, non UST\LUST though.

    Thats OK then….carry on….. 😉

Chainrings and cassette are not really bike specific, just put on what you like…..

EDIT – sorry, i didn't finish. they would more likely just give you a new one once they know you know your legal position.

Are you spouting all this from experience of consumer rights in this particular field or are you a google warrior ?

Anyone know the answer to my earlier question? Does 500 Waypoints/20 Routes = 10,000 Waypoints?

I dont know for sure but i doubt it, i would think it will be 500 waypoints total.

I am using a serial cable with a PC that has, wait for it, a serial port, remember them ?

I suspect you will find the large is too large, i went through the same thing when looking at the Trance X, medium was too cramped, large was too stretched, they really need a M\L in there like they do on the road frames, i bought something else in the end.

obviously this depends on there being something wrong with it

    And who proves that ?

Doing the WRT, will I get 130 miles of route in to this device from Memory Map?

I *think* you will need to split it over a couple of routes to make it go, there is limitations on the amount of waypoints a route can have.

Like i say, i think…..sure somebody will know the definitive answer

I've snapped mine a few times with around 60-100 miles use. Not ver spectacular.

For storage this looks good money, onboard graphics though so if you want to do anything gamey you will need to add a decent graphics card:

Or if you want cutting edge you could go for this monster 😉

If you want to race do what everybody else has to do and pay to hire somewhere private.

If you had truly electrocuted youself you are doing a fine job of posting as you would be dead.

    e·lec·tro·cute (-lktr-kyt)
    tr.v. e·lec·tro·cut·ed, e·lec·tro·cut·ing, e·lec·tro·cutes
    1. To kill with electricity: a worker who was electrocuted by a high-tension wire.
    2. To execute (a condemned prisoner) by means of electricity.

Cheers all, i just cant help thinking that the Souls here:

    http://www.cotic.co.uk/product/soul

Would look better with SLX on, performance wise i dont think there is a lot in it and as already mentioned SLX is £60 cheaper than XT at Ribble, its not really about the money but £60 goes a long way.

However you do it you will still loose most of the oil as when you push the assembly out it pushes the oil out thats in the upper part of the leg.

Basically sort of yes, let the air out of both chambers, take the top cap off, loosen the negative air bolt and tap it the same as your way so its inside the fork, then push a rod inside said hole and the whole assembly pops out of the top of the forks, do what you have to, and put it back together.

You can do it without removing the lower, did mine the other night, you just need a long rod to push the inners out of the top from the bottom air valve hole, but as PP says, the threads come fairly close to touching the seals.

Oh, and my OEM Reba SL's from Merlin dont have any spacers in so its 100mm or less.

is this a daft way to get my first ride in a group?

A bit, but not as bad as a full on 60+ field, a few club group rides would probably have been best first

Tips, hell, too much to go into really, you have a lot to learn, but a few:

Dont let gaps appear in front you of more than a few meters, if you do you will either get dropped or a severe talking too.

Dont look behind you, eyes front all the time with the brakes covered.

Dont make sudden movements, if you do you will either take somebody down behind you or end up skating down the road on your arse as you take your own front wheel out.

Enjoy, thats assuming you can breathe through your arse !!

Edit: Its not the "darkside" its called a road bike
