Because by the time you have bought the SLX chainset and a decent SS chainring you are within £20 of the price of a SS specific Middleburn, i like the look of SLX though so thats what i have.

Strategy for a 120 mile race – Yes, lots, including pain

Strategy for a 120 mile leisure ride – No, just ride, enjoy

Sorry i dont really understand your need for sponsorship, especially riding the sort of events you are doing.

Just join a local club\team that offers subsidised\free kit (if free kit turns you on that is), enter the races and enjoy the racing, if you are good enough you will get picked up sooner or later.

It's a problem with the Giants, have a search, there was a thread a while back about this exact thing.

I am 5"10" (11" at a push) and after speaking to Cy have gone for a medium too, going for a 90mm stem with straight seatpost and going to see what happens, they are quite long looking at the dimensions so the large would be a bit reach i think even for me, waiting for mine too…..

Came up massively short on a big (24') double on Saturday

I just really do not have time to be broken.

Perhaps in hindsight not exactly the right things to be doing then ? 😉

I went through all this last year and after doing a bit of research was inclined to think that ski boot fitting for the mere mortal is a bit of very clever sales and marketing to get you to spend even more money than you need to.

Unless you have very odd shaped feet just try on as many pairs as you can over a few days and go with what feels best.

As usual J this is a bot of IMHO, sure some people will have strong feelings about it……

Having a separate partition can be 'a good thing' – if the C: drive ever fails, storing your data on a separate partition means you stand a better chance of recovering the data.

Not if its the same physical drive it wont

Yeti guy, i agree, i cant understand people coming up to the lakes and going to a trail centre, another analogy would be like a climber going to Yosemite and asking where the local climbing wall is !

I was talking to the guys in Biketreks and some guys had been up on holiday and asked them wher else there was to ride in the lakes as they had done Whinlatter and Grizedale !!

    Wiki says:

By 2003 there were more than 300 restaurants in the UK, as well as outlets in Ireland, where it trades as Milano, and Spain and France where the brand name is Pizza Milano. In other countries the business is branded as Pizza Marzano.

Can you not provide a receipt from local B&B that may or may not exist ?

Caveat: This may be highly illegal
