Mahatma Gandhi, as you know, walked barefoot most of the time, which produced an impressive set of callouses on his feet. He also ate very little, which made him rather frail, and with his bad diet he suffered from bad breath.

    This made him a super-calloused-fragile-mystic-hexed-by-halitosis.

Filter coffee from Starbucks taken black is far more detailed and full bodied than an Americano.

    +1

an americano (IMO) is generally not a nice drink. tastes like a watered dwon espresso, and nothing like the ‘regular’ coffee they badge it as.

i LOVE espresso based (short) drinks, i love nice filter coffee.

i cannot fudging stand americanos (normally – some exceptions obvs)

So your paying 20% VAT and they are running off with the profit etc.

surely that’s the definition of buying something. anything. from anywhere?

    not just an edinburgh issue.

i ride through malin bridge and hillsborough every day.

think i cross about 14 individual rails on the way to work.

    each way. sketchy!

far worse on road bike than mtb.

saying this a common sense issue suggests these people have never commuted along these kind of lines. V. hard to avoid being in a dodgy position some times.

that said. i’d never consider suing over it..

just let mine out for a piss and he never walked passed the window.

opened the door to find out what he was doing and he was just stood on the steps, head into the wind with his ears flapping like he had his head out a car window.

    silly sod was loving it.

    hang on…

if you are fitting bigger wheels, then smaller tyres to make the OD the same size as it was before…

    then what’s the point?

You shouldn’t be forced to pay a tax for something you have no intention of watching.

but there’s no segregation. your argument is akin to not paying vehicle exise duty because you only drive round b roads, and dont like motorways.

I already like the faster pick-up on my (geared hub) SS, I guess that’s just from decent chain tension compared to a geared setup.

AIUI the license is for the posession of equipment capable of receiving a TV signal so even if your TV is disconnected and in a box in the loft you still have to have a license for it.

doubt it. it’s a viewing license not an equipment license.

If a dog bites you and you kick it to get it off you and stop the biting then that’s fine

indeed. but if a dog is really going for it then i strongly advise getting the **** out of there.

anyone claiming to have ‘kicked the shit out of a dog to teach it a lesson’ has clearly either been picking on small dogs, or dogs that were close to rolling over anyway.

once a week isnt too bad in general, but isn’t great when the pup is young.

dogs are very hard work when they are young and i’d thoroughly recommend being there with and for them 100% of the time until they are a good few months old.

that said, lots of people don’t. but then (seemingly) lots of people have dogs that are badly socialized or bite their children’s faces…
