Is it a CS6 version? You can still buy those, we are Creative Cloud agnostics in the office.

Cheaper options are out there as you say.
No, you can get tablets with just wifi, no need to get a mobile contract.
Google app store is there and viewable best through home wireless connection.
Argos do a cheaper than Tesco one but it hasn’t had good reviews.

Colleague in office has had her Z10 replaced twice since May when it was acquired. Consistent battery charging issue both times. Nothing intermittent developed yet but I will refer her to this thread.

Seems Dr Measures, a top cancer specialist FWIW, has not contacted the family to show any remorse or express her sympathies:
Letter from parents of victim

Not sure how many lives a top cancer specialist can save to rebalance the equation but I hope she can express her sorrow to the parents (while satisfying the insurance company’s liability concerns).

Cafe Royale? Good pub with island bar and nice mix of beers and local spirits menu. Good bar food and restaurant if you want to sit down.
Portrait gallery is nice and liked the cafe.

A bit of putty to protect the crack surface, sealing it from moisture. Has anything changed in the frame to put additional stress on the glass and force a crack to propagate?
Sounds like it is cylinder glass rather than crown glass if it is curved, English Antique Glass could supply something in that style if you are forced to replace.

Where you travelling? Worth looking at a local SIM/phone for a regular location? Harder if it is random.

Don’t PDFs scale for the printer you’re using? Especially from vector graphics.
Send them the PDF and they can print from that.

Plenty of Xmas temp jobs, city centre or Trafford Centre must be tooling up. Zero hour rubbish for the most part, 4 hour shifts.
I hope South Yorkshire can pull their finger out, worth emailing the elected commissioner? Give him something to do.

+1 for crossing tram tracks in the rain.
Perpendicular approach to reduce the contact area, easy does it speed.

Similar to CVMBC, the Holme Valley Mountain Bike Marathon provides a route of sorts.
Kirklees had leaflet a while ago for a big loop related to the Mirfield area that took you up to Emley Moor that could intersect with the new TPT stuff in Kirkburton and onwards to Dunford Bridge, then over to Holme, Digley, Meltham then Marsden. The canal back would be a relief.

Slightly OT but has anyone seen/had quoted one of the Baxi CHP/fuel cell systems? Generates your electricity as well as heat and sells excess back to the grid.
More expensive to start but local generation is on trend…

I started reading the Guardian on a Monday, Thursday and Saturday for the longer reports of football matches and the cricket. Monday had media jobs which have given me two jobs in my career, Thursday was films and technology/computing. They moved films to Friday and technology is everywhere and football is on every night and even Test cricket starts on a Wednesday some weeks, so I mostly read the web: BBC, Guardian, PCPro, The Register and Singletrackworld.

Saw the new Giant shop last night while taking the dawg for a walk.
Somehow reminded me of Evans in it’s font signage/presentation but it’s a JE James? Brave move, not sure I would have put a shop there but the beer was never the Ear’s strongest point.
Some sort of cycle event at Haggler’s Corner just along the road on the 6th October, wonder if they are selling bikes there too!

Legitimate news report rather than Editorial would be the editor’s response.
Slanted against cyclists as per usual and low on facts with no balance to the comment by ABD (can I become a member, who do they represent?). Shocking number of deaths, but have there been any on the stretches they highlight?

Wickersley is probably the best for proximity and time to work for the Mrs. Schools are good in the vicinity BUT then you are further from Wharnecliffe. Though Rother Valley Country Park close.

Chapeltown would be a good commuting base for working in Rotherham centre, a reasonable distance, some decent woods to divert on the way home and with the hills not too far away. The Commercial has a decent selection of beers.
Are you in some advance HS2 preparation group? 🙂

I have one of those lock attachments to the seat post, one less thing in the bag. Bottle cage too.
Pump
Tube
Repair kit
Tools
Shower jacket thing
Lights – mini emergency ones
USB memory sticks

Stuff left over from Sunday at the cricket to clear out, wrappers, freebies (Yorkshire Tea, Flankie!).

Saw a flyer on the checkout desk at Edinburgh Bike Coop in Sheffield last night. Based at Wharnecliffe, various levels. I know nothing else but it did catch my eye – what with Xmas miles away. [Just in case MsTPT is Googling]

I always wonder if it’s worth asking a sample of the commonest insurers to see if they insure this car and let them know that it has fled the scene of an accident. Respecting data protection obviously. Just for future renewal reference.
Could almost be a crowd sourcing project?

Earlsfield. Only one stop out from Clapham Junction giving you the option of Victoria or Waterloo. If your focus is city living then you would mainly be looking towards the centre for leisure and may as well be closer. The Commons give you plenty of open space and sky. Reggie Perrin came from Surbiton? Train was always 11 minutes late…
Used to live near St John’s Hill, between CJ and Wandsworth, but this was 21 years ago 😕

Forget riding on the first night and drink Palmer’s ales? With an OS map.
Mother in Law used to live there. Did plenty of walks but nothing on two wheels. Paths took us on quite a few bridleways so routes available.
Not much due south, coastal footpath off limits to cycles, erosion issues and caravan parks.
East towards Weymouth has Abbotsbury, quite nice and Dorchester. MTB UK did a route around Maiden Castle (search here for a strand of comments, a year or more ago, I think it was the opposite way to the enjoyable route).

Here’s a link to first and last trains on the Central line:

Snaresbrook and outward may have some station car parks for park and ride.
First trains if Mr Springsteen goes even further over.

Stratford must be tooled up with hotels post-Olympics?
http://www.travelodge.co.uk/hotels/522/London-Stratford-hotel
Why go elsewhere? No congestion charge this far out, some likelihood of secure parking and a route out to the M11 and northwards.
Why spend up west?

Dogs on leads, I think Ramblers are a bit stickler-ish over that. Free range dogs a bit of red rag to a red sock.
Nothing at all to do with two wheeled conveyance, nope.
