Blurred vision a worry! Eye damage could affect your ability to ride. Peripheral vision ok?
Lay off the carbs as much as possible, remember fruit juice is lots of carbs.
    Work on that waistline.

Can you swap at this late stage? Get a more reasonable task/position.
Stage 2 here, on track task with rendezvous near Hillsborough Leisure Centre. Got to be there at 9.30, I guess the riders come through about 16.00.

Springwatch last night had video a tawny owl chick, mum and dad presenting it with a wide range of food all yummy except the final slugs. Looked like the food came back on it quite badly, owl chick looked like it had a very bad cold! 😯

The CTC member magazine, Cycle, has a review of 2P tents, arrived at home last Wednesday. I’ll have another look at it tonight. Post anything useful tomorrow.

What’s Anne’s other contact points locally: church, university alumni, social groups? Does she lunch with a church group, say. Sounds like her academic stuff may resonate with the newbie neighbour. Have a departure event/yard sale and make sure they are together in their us against them setting.
I always wonder if there is some learning difficulties with a grown up son living with mother. Whether he is he on the spectrum and in the sights of local support, could be a safeguarding issue for those in his immediate environment; or the council needs to be aware of the threat to Anne if she is to live safely at home.

Waves, from Sheffield direction! Not sure I can get there for the start and the “Happy to Help” indoctrination chanting.

Van Gaal a short term placement.
Two years time it will be either Mourinho, Guardiola or Ancelotti.
Rogers now signed up by Liverpool, no coincidence, agent sourced whispers worked there.

The Sheaf View pub is very close to my polling station in Sheffield.
I vote in the evening and celebrate my franchise with a pint. Who wouldn’t?
I felt tempted to spoil my ballot paper for the police commissioner poll.

All in the wrist action! 😉
Rotation in the horizontal and vertical planes does all sorts. Flashing lights tells you stuff.

Lovely rear light. Must read the instructions!
CRC or See.Sense included a Sugru sample in the box too. Maybe there’ll be another in the front light pack as well. 🙂

    Dear Backer,

Do to an error in data translation, around 20 incorrect packing slips were created. This resulted in you being sent a See.Sense Rear light, instead of a Front and Rear light set.

We are working through these orders again and your front light will be dispatched today.

    🙁

Four bed mid-terrace. nPower just moved DD down from £150 to £100 per month (£26 electricity, £74 gas).
Last bill read like I owed them a pot of cash only for it to be reversed by page 5 of the 7 pages of bill, plus apologetic covering letter.

We stayed in Snoozebox for the last weekend of the Festival in 2013. The 2014 location is a bit further away from the station so a bit quieter. A 14 y.o. may be at the limit of the bunk bed capacity.
It was ok and cheaper than the headline cost…
Dunbar has some quite late trains, we looked there too.

Nice alignment of tyres and valves, good job!

Things change. There used to be a factory in Worksop that produced glass bottles solely for Co-Op Dairies. Worksop kept producing when taken over by Rockware until the furnace life ran out. Dairy Farmers of Great Britain succeeded Co-Op Dairy for a while until it went bust, our milk is delivered by a smaller outfit now.
Huge and nationwide to tiny in the short time it has taken for most milk to come in plastic from the supermarket.

Binners: they got into this bind by expanding into many different business areas, buying Somerfield and merging lots of regional co-ops into a larger organisation. In doing that they kept lots of hierarchies that seem outdated and slow to respond to the buzz words of fast moving retail environments.
They are a bit behind the big retailers on distribution but have the small shops in all the right places so you’d think they’d get there in the long term. Then they’ll get hammered for not having an internet shopping option. 😕
You can see bits being broken off. The funeral business seems discrete and easily packaged off.
I don’t see how Britannia, as a supposed mutual, managed to sink £1.5 billion into a commercial loans black hole, and that is just the loss, how much was the whole loan? Some poor due diligence when it got taken over by the Co-Op.

Mr Magorium’s Wonder Emporium maybe it was Magic rather than Wonder in the UK. Large family trip to cineplex, lowest common denominator of the films that no one had seen for the age range present. No redeeming features. This was a full price event, including popcorn, not just a video rental you could shrug off.

    Nice words CG.

I have a problem with Defence Procurement. The circular way they purchase things in an open ended and fully exploited way by companies headed up by former Defence Procurement staff. No thought that maybe a hospital would be under resourced due to their overspend.

    And they want Trident upgraded?

Trans Pennine Trail, Penistone to Dunford Bridge or just to Thurlstone and then up over the hill with the windmills to Ingbirchworth and the Fountain Inn. I remember doing this with young daughter on the back, when she woke up (that rhythmic bump on your back or the sideways loll) she drank all her water then drank all mine. Good job the Fountain wasn’t far away.

    Scarborough
    Bournemouth
Connectedness means you’d choose Bournemouth, there may be some old folk in the region so allow time at those pedestrian crossings.

We have peacock butterflies in our passage, over wintering at the moment. They also roost there at night when it is warmer. Their rubbing wings make a right noise in the summer. Counted 20 plus of them.

Got a replacement Acer battery from here (Dell down the left hand side):

Good speed of delivery (via Hong Kong, I think).
We chose a 12 cell over the 6 cell it was replacing. The battery sticks out of the base but phenomenal life time.

Anticipating the rain on the way home seems to be worst thing for today. The BBC News Channel half in view shows some sort of end of the world weather rolling across the country.

    If I have to moan:
The woman driving the Luncheon Express van at 8.40, just leaving their base but still trying to work her phone touch screen.
The man driving the Minder security company van at the traffic lights in Ecclesfield a couple of miles on, failing to let go of his phone after the change to green.
What did we do before we were so instantly connected to the world? An umbilical we cannot let go.

Stayed there for a few days when our tent got blown apart. Nice place, classic old University town, good shops, great pancake houses! A short drive to the seaside, kids will love you! There’s a water theme park about 20 minutes away too.
An hour by train from Amsterdam.

Well if KP is set aside I hope they are going to have a full clear out. No one should assume to be safe, including Cook and the management structure that was outclassed. The collective know how of the side plus the various coaches plus the whole of the English media could not get Brad Haddin out.
I am with Vaughan on most of this, though he didn’t seem to have a plan for Haddin either.
Broad captain, Cook out until he can score runs, pick on form from the start of the season. If you are going to select a leggie go for Rashid rather than a player still learning their trade – older spinners tend to get better results. Monty is still playing grade cricket to learn more and develop his game, the remainder of the Test team are at home, trying to forget the last four months?

Daughter’s Note went back to have the card reader sorted out on warranty. Back better than new. Maybe look to do that? Tho she was without touch phone for three weeks which borders on a human rights infringement for a 19 y.o.
Offering cash up front sometimes changes the equation; for £130 up front I was quoted £27 rather than £37/month for a 24 month contract!

Guardian had a review of the Z1 compact. Overcame their iPhone bias to give it a good score.
Going for a Z1 myself at the end of this week.

Old biddie in a Suzuki small hatch. If I had been five seconds earlier at the roundabout yesterday morning she would have squished me. The first she looked was when I shouted.
