Turning up to 11 on the shafting! Hope nothing worse happens in your life.
Other laptops of better spec will be available, they always are.

Saw plenty of moles on the wires around Kettlewell. Not sure how much further south the tradition goes. Not seen any in Derbyshire?

A bit office-y but there is the Venetian blind inside the double glazing unit type solution. Probably meet most heights and widths.

There are all sorts of charges in the health provision chain in France. Ms TPT broke her shoulder there four years ago; she was in two different hospitals with a string of x-rays, two ambulance rides. Who did what when was a muddle but we got a bill for a similar amount several months after our return. I would forward it to your travel insurance folk who will deal with it. Or contact the EHIC people for clarification.

    +1 for spot on tyres
Some of the roads near the metal recyclers in the valley can have all sorts of shavings and stuff, picked up a flat not long ago. Street sweepers need magnetic brooms!

Here's a couple from my bookshelves:
Type and Layout: are you communicating or just making pretty shapes by Colin Wheildon, The Worsley Press.
Stop Stealing Sheep & find out how type works by Erik Spiekermann and E. M. Ginger, Peachpit Press
But I am more a journal layout man/font user than a font designer.

+1 for tram tracks in the rain. Got to hit them at 90 degrees to minimise contact or you're over.

She must have left a lot of her possessions with you so I'd guess there are plenty of shoe/wee opportunities? You probably wouldn't take boots to Vietnam so some good capacity to fill.

Are you clipped in? SPDs or other brands? Since I stopped clipping into SPDs on my commute my knee pain has gone.

Visit Mecca? You never know who you'll meet at the bingo and it will be one night taken up. 🙂
Prob better action in the Emirates though.

Wait for the Aldi or Lidl cycling special days. Probably a good waterproof in Sept/Oct-ish? £20 or less.

FSB? Isn't that the successor to the KGB!
Forum for Small Business? Not much different.

I had one of those letters, with only four members of staff, and only one who listens to radio in room where others cannot hear it, I worked out it would have been cheaper to buy a personal radio or MP3 player for anyone who wanted to listen to music than shell out for an unneeded licence. So replied saying not applicable here.

Get a washer with good capacity and REALLY whizzy spin speed, 1600 rpm. That way the water gets wrung out as much as possible.
Tho obviously not for delicate woolly baby cardigans, but all those vests and bibs and grow bags.

Hobo, I think the late Mr Tomlinson was in the wrong place and was trying to get away from it. He was not part of the protest, he was trying to earn a living.

Uneasy reading easygirl, will we need two medical experts at every PM; blimey, like Silent Witness.

Toy Story 3 coming out soon. Neutral venue for a joint trip out and it's supposed to be a bit weepy for grown ups. Show your emotional side and you're in…

Be warned: my ex-wife has a friend with daughter in same year as ours, the two girls do not get on, never have over 8 years, some in the same class, the rest in the same school.

I got my Met crash replaced even though it was a Xmas present and had no receipt.
But there isn't a really good way of telling if the polystyrene foam is damaged, maybe if there was some blue or UV dye that showed up when it's time was up or above a critical crack size? Acoustic resonance might be one way but probably too expensive.

Silkstone. There's a marching brass band competition on Saturday afternoon. Well entertaining. Not far off Barnsley junction. Cannon Hall if its not the the kid's taste or TPT Wigfield farm, Wentworth Castle/Stainborough Park!

Good film. He ought to watch out for vampires and werewolves in them woods though.
Would have been great to see the yellow bus pull in as he was parking up! "What took you?"
Room for the bike on the uphill trip home?

    Antibiotics cleared it up.
Beetrooty wee scares me into thinking the kidney thing is back. 😕

All it needs is the Temp/Chief Constable to ask Raoul to prove that he wasn't overdoing steroids by proving his Wiener schnitzel hasn't been badly affected, only she had heard from Durham jail that it was tiny. Wiggling her little finger.
That would get him on the streets of Rothbury with his pants round his ankles shouting, "Come an' have a look."
Tazer shot and he'd be in custody. Simple.

Baby rice? Just to fill the little tummies with a bit more than liquid.
It is 14 years since I had this problem and time and the sleep deprivation has clouded the memory, so it may be useless or outdated.
Hope the tag team settle down. One is bad enough.
BTW: Twins are good for the advertising industry, get them an agent.

    Twice
A slow mo roll into my back wheel by a woman as I puffed up a hill past a junction. She just went a bit early or expected me to be moving quicker. The smooth bit of road was close to the white lines. No damage.

Overtaking stationary/slow traffic a Punto decides to U turn without consulting mirror/expecting anyone to be there. Ambulance to the hospital with a neck brace and fracture around elbow and grazed face. Fifth gear on the Nexus hub still not shifting perfectly. Driver was not insured for the car he was driving.

Wii Fit works well for Ms and Miss TPT, better than a yoga DVD for sure. Its good for a run too.

Got a 5732Z also, maybe not enough USB ports and some flex around the cursor keys but great value, 500 GB disk and 4 GB RAM and 64 bit Win7.
Might as well go 64 bit as it gives memory expansion opportunities and the "possibility" of 64 bit programs for the future.

Some of us avoid dentists like others avoid baths.
I would hope the same dentist will do the job and so will be familiar with the first mistake and be sensitive to making sure things run smoothly. Proving they are human and not some complacent tossers who sees their patients as money udders to be milked.

A committee of the editors of the national newspapers, let's see your faces, let's see how you'd do it, and let's see how you'd avoid failure.
Once they'd been taken to the scaffold, I'd go for the editors of weekly magazines! We might get somewhere with New Scientist and Economist but Nuts and Bella would let that coalition fail.

Created train operating companies, train owning companies and Railtrack.
The management bought out the train owning companies from the state(?) and ownership of these companies swiftly sold on to finance companies for some obscene returns. Many party donors in the lucky management. Follow the money!
The public got Railtrack, underfinanced at inception and the shareholders got screwed in the end as the cost of modernising the railways from previous decades of Labour and Conservative under investment came to a head.
The travelling public got some good/some bad franchises that use cash flow from fares to pay the rent on the trains without the flexibility and means to invest in better rolling stock – obliged to be rented from the train owning companies – offering any cattle truck you like as long as it is black.
    There, now relax…

I got one of these Acer's a couple of months ago:
    Acer 5372Z
It's got a numeric keypad, useful for alt code entries for DTP work. I have CS4 installed and it seems to work well. Photoshop 64 bit came on board, not that you can tell. And CS4 installed in Win7 so easily the nightmare of the WinXP install was forgotten.

I was a bit underwhelmed too.
Loads of space for people to unhook bikes and wheel about and stuff but the clothing was a mess. Parts looked like a reasonable mix but I wasn't really looking. Lots of space but possibly less choice than Decathlon especially on "own brand" lines, better than Halfords.
A really nice and helpful assistant looked something up for me. Probably the same woman.
I think it is sort of work in progress and needs time to shake down what stock works for the customer profile in Sheffield for the time of year. Stuff gets thrown up on display for an opening, its keeping the standards up and mix just right.

Ours is the same as the car, 35p/mile, when I was asked how much we should pay. Should be higher, as pressing the pedals is a damned sight harder than pressing the accelerator!
