I am always mega suspicious of strong smells, people use it to cover damp issues. So be careful you don’t raise their bullshit detectors. I once viewed a flat where the owners mother just happened to be their cooking a curry. I called her straight out on it, was bloody obvious, anyway we could still smell and see the damp…

Perhaps you should try being insanely nice to her, invite her round for cups of tea, give her gifts and generally be awesome. She is probably sad and lonely and suffers from filling in the darkness (ie what she does not know about you) with monsters. Be nice.

oli31 has it. Sheepskull is my fave there, as it has rooty challenges but is all rollable, so you can progress a lot by repeating it. They are all good trails. The flyupdownhill uplift is the best of all those listed above in terms of care of your bike, making sure you get on the bus, speed and friendliness.

fod trails are less steep (so less braking), but more technical. BPW has a lot of hard packed fast stuff which is just hang on and hope, the fod will teach you more about descending as there are lots of rollable obstacles which reward hitting them with more and more speed. So you can pussy foot over them and gradually increase confidence until you are blasting down. I always have a great time at FOD, have been about 20 times.
Also the runs are shorter, so you get to repeat the same one many times-increases your learning init..
Caveat; I am fat, slow and a bit shit..

Flyupdownhill uplift at FOD is excellent. Not too steep, plenty of chicken runs, challenges if you want them, lots of soft loam to fall off in and fast mega repeat uplift where in the summer you can get 16/17 runs in a day (unlike bike park wales where the average beginner would struggle to get 5 runs in a day, the trails are rock hard and a bit exposed).

I bought my tr450 for about 5k at the same time as my mate paid 2.4k for her wc model. I feel a bit of a fool as its every bit as good as the 450.

Well I reckon in a double blind I could tell the difference between having a dropper post or not…. or die trying

exactly, and those other things are testable too.

All that post modern audio bullshit is without definition.

Well my tr450 is a 2011, its done about 8 weeks of dh holidays morzine and malaga, probs another 20 days of uplift and still on the original bushes. Last trip I noticed that the lower bush had a teeny amount of play. I’d be happy with half that performance..

Yeah I cannot say I have ever been unhappy with the ease of movement of any previous bush design I have used, so I am not attracted by the “low friction”. Its the easy fitting that appeals, one less tool to bring on tour.

Hmmm, this has a bit of a fishy smell about it, havent we had a spam thread about these before? This is your first and only post?

As a result of this thread someone emailed me about my fox 36 r lowers, and someone else wanted the damper assembly etc, I am up for splitting these now, but cant remember who it was…

Johhners, whilst this may seem like a good idea, unfortunately its not 20 every time, varies from 10-30.
It does seem to be to do with how fast I unscrew, but its still not a good system, no matter how fast I do it I still lose a lot of air.
It must have been a problem found by other people hence the demand in the market place for these types of valve connector.

    Thanks for your wisdom STATO.
To test the pump I have done this numerous times:

1)apply gauge to fork, reads 100psi.
    2)take gauge off
    3) put gauge back on reads 100psi
    4) apply pump to fork, reads 100 psi
    5) take pump off fork
    6) apply gauge to fork reads 80psi
    7) apply pump to fork reads 80psi
8 ) pump fork back up to 100psi
    9) remove pump
    10) apply gauge to fork, reads 80 psi
    11) take gauge off
    12) put gauge back on, reads 80 psi

There are lots of pumps that advertise the no loss feature, I just wonder if anyone has got one that they know works good.

Khani, thats a good idea cheers, will try that.

Scotroutes, I understand that, but in this case it actually does I promise. I have a £70 digital gauge that is repeatable and testable that shows it does.
The pump works fine on my rp23, but not on my marz forks.

Get both? I have transition covert and a TR450. If I ahd my time again I would by a tues in a heartbeat. My mate has one, great bike, she rips on it. At 2.5k vs 6k, I can’t find the differnece in performance/ride quality.

I am an obese person. I would say I have high self esteem, and just accept that I am fat and old as a fact rather than a failing. I do want to enjoy riding and live long so I am attempting to sort it out.

I don’t know how I ended up like this, i used to be a gym bunny, fit as flea. Work, kids a bit of depression a few years a go. Then once you put it on, its bloody hard to shift.
