Moved to Keswick last September and don’t regret it for a minute. Took early retirement from the NHS, so it “cost” me a few quid and a 3 bed semi cost more than a 4 bed detached in leafy North Leeds but it’s the best decision we’ve ever made – see lifestyle choice.

The reliability thing was based on a number of friends and colleagues experiences with French and Italian cars – i.e. they’ve had some proper ‘mares, over the years.
VAG? Seems to be the “go to” but stories about post 3year electrical problems and all the usual diesel issues worry me as I’m hoping to keep the car for, at least, five years (or until I can convince the missus to give up the caravan).
Ford? I have one………it’s reliable but dull.

Heavy rain, if riding from home, Don’t like wearing waterproofs, at the best of times, so having to a) put them on b) constantly manage temperatures and c) be dripping wet after 200m, is not my idea of fun.
Wind and ice are close seconds but cleaning isn’t an issue, it’s a given.

Have you reset the encryption on the original unit? Then reset your extenders, then try the linking instructions it says in section 2 of the instructions.

What happens when you put that extender in the socket where the other one works ?

It doesn’t. Get a power light but no data light. Done the factory reset thing and tried linking again but it’s not having any of it – as with its predecessor.
I have another extender that has no problem linking, in any socket, upstairs or downstairs.
