I’ve got the standard A2C Exotic 26ers on my old Pine Mountain (now back in MTB guise from commuter) and unless you go charging through rock gardens*, they’re pretty comfy for rigid forks.

* falls into the “Not a good idea” life choice. 🙂

My bikes look pretty good………….it’s the rider and his skill level that look crap when compared to others……. 😐

Stuck in St. Chav’s for another 4hrs – been here since 08.00 – just popped out of the lab (aircon @ 20 C) for a statutory break and into my office on t’other side of the building (no aircon) and it’s 30.7 C! Quick brew and I think I’ll pop straight back into the lab!

As someone who is new to road cycling and not particularly quick, I occasionally find myself sitting on someones wheel a bit longer than is, perhaps, polite. The reason for this is that, I feel, if I overtake I’ll be starting a race ( I don’t race) – this has happened a couple of times – the twunt in front will deliberately speed up to prevent me overtaking – look, pal, the only reason I’m passing you is because you are going slower than me. There is no chance of me going any faster so either speed up or wind your neck in.

I use my white photochromo ones for road riding and find them superb, especially at the price point.

White gives the Jan Ullrich look. IMO anyway…

“Hi, Dad……..” as spoken by the middle offspring returning from a two week secondment that turned into a ten week secondment, dahn sarf. Should be hearing that next Sunday.

The one Soks offspring that works for a living payed 25% of take home pay before she moved into her flat………then we bought her a load of household things from the money she’d payed us. 🙂

FWIW, I’ve just replaced 4yr old XT’s with new SLX’s. The SLX’s are excellent.
