Volvo? Boxy you say? Had this about 2 weeks and bloody love it, the driver aids are witchcraft,
the cabin is a joy (if you don’t have kids, get the blond leather it’s gorgeous) and it’s just a nice place to be!

(mind you, dealers are offering crazy discounts on A6 at the moment, as there’s a new one due later this year. £5800 dealer contribution was practically the first thing out of the fella’s mouth when we walked in)

Haha, we’ve been using their product for years. Beware of autocorrect faux pas….

Good points. Clearly, for maximum points, one should match the honey and malt properly, have self-built the steel fatbike and use lemons grown organically in one’s own orangery. One must try harder!

Chorizo. Best when drinking at home though, pub “snacking chorizo” is rubbish.

Just two whips, one candy bra, one pair of nipple clamps/tassels and an inflatable cow doll were exchanged at our event this year.

Best was a few years ago, when senior management were all bought crack pipes.

    Thanks everyone,

Turning it into an all-dayer is probably going to burn bridges, so mildly direct is good… I was wondering whether there is scope to cut across towards Petworth and Midhurst?

I follow this[/url], which you have probably already found. Although it’s not the only or most obvious mulled wine recipe on the site.

Bike Verbier are fantastic folks but more about the full week trips (and they’re excellent BTW) they might be able to sort you out with contacts for hire and day guiding if you ask nicely.

Alternatively, Matt was guiding for them a few seasons ago and now does day guiding stuff on his own: https://alpineroots-mtb.com

“Sure, I’ll run that up the flag pole with my on-site colleagues and blue-sky a narrative synergistic with the goals and values of visiting delegates. I’ll loop back to you with a proposed agenda at the top of next week”

That should just about cover it.

^^^ yeah, that gap is a bit, um, obvious. Hope it doesn’t cause any trouble for the area as a whole – ripping up of the whole network of trails would be a disaster.

(I’d love to have the ability and stones to ride it though)

A mate of mine has 2.4 nobby nics on tech enduros in his, apparently OK given how much he’s raving about the bike!

hmmmm… Whilst I *could* pop the lowers off and push it all back together, I have another bike so can afford to have one up on bricks for a bit and would rather not be continually fettling around a known issue. Does anyone have a contact address for SRAM/Rockshox UK?

2003? A lot of that squad would have been nailed on for a world XV – Johnson, Wilkinson, Robinson and Hill for me. Pretty much every player would have been mentioned in the selection meeting. Vickery, Woodman, Thomson all had a good shout, Greenwood too. Back/Smith/McCaw would have been a long conversation back then.

Shan – press fit bb puts me off
Switchback – have a slackline now, after telling myself for ages it was fine, I’m finally begining to admit to myself it’s slightly too short…
    Bird – on the list!

    Anyone riding a chromag?

What stoner said. IIRC there’s an agenda there – her son picked up a series of injuries, including broken bones and/or ligament damage, but not in any way life changing

Pretty boring how the same letter seems to get trotted out around every 6N, RWC etc.

@alpin the guardian review has the detail:

Schweppenstette also found time to ensure that Annett was committed to the socialist cause and give Martin a quick talking to. That conversation – “You don’t understand me” “You don’t understand me either” – was one of the best things about the episode; a tense five minutes in which Martin admitted to his father issues while Schweppenstette calmly remarked: “My children didn’t see much of me but they didn’t miss me either.” It also raised the possibility that Walter is Martin’s absent father, a possibility only strengthened by the scene of him watching Ingrid in hospital. I’m not sure how I’d feel about that as a plot development: on the one hand, it’s a little too convenient but on the other there’s something delicious about the idea of the fanatical Schweppenstette as Martin’s father

Anyone else pick up on a suggestion that Schweppensette could be Martin/Moritz missing father?
