Either that or ask her if she wants to go halfers on a b***ard!

That might not be so good. Direct but obtuse.

Enough about you – what about her?

Ask her if she has the cure for a broken heart? :D

Big names are utterly pointless – they still come from the same workshops and factories as the rest – you are only paying for a name – thats on the inside anyway! They probably won't suit you either – so many 'names' are cut for skinny waifs.

Just try a few places with staff to help. Make sure you wear the same sort of shirt and shoes you'd wear with the suit – so many people forget that. Also – too many people buy suits too tight – probably the most common fault – and you need room across the shoulders so it doesn't crease between the shoulder blades.

I'd not use espresso beans in a cafetiere and I'd not use other beans in an espresso machine. We have a drip and an espresso and have 2 coffee beans on the go – just reduce the quantity you grind and keep the beans in the freezer.

Foam roller here too – it is the most painful thing I've ever done repeatedly of my own free will, but it is good for me.

Dogs like playing with each other. Fact.

SOME dogs like playing. SOME dogs are aggressive and will fight rather than play. I don't know your dog. You don't know my dog. Please show the minimum respect and don't assume you know my dog or I know your dog isn't aggressive. I don't and I've had several bad instances with stupid people not controlling their dog. Let them meet properly and see if they play – don't let your out of control mutt run up on me or mine. My (therapy dog trained) rotty will always get the blame if it kicks off – just because he is a rotty.

THE SIZE OF THE DOG DOES NOT MATTER.

If someone has a dog off the lead and can't control it, they can't control it. If someone lets their dog come up on me or my dog uninvited, that is just a lack of respect and ignorance. Plenty ignorant people have small dogs too. 'these dogs'? I've had more grief from jack russels than any other breed!

Alienating female riders must be so rewarding. Then again, downhillers mostly don't know what a girl looks like do they?

You couldn't have ton on the team. He would just use the occasion to ask what the latest niche bike was then parade his latest (possibly repeat) purchases for all to see – probably getting through 4 or 5 new bikes in the 30 minute show time.

TJ would never make it to the team seating as he would have started an argument with himself over which lucky gonk would be displayed and where he would sit. This argument would see him in arbitration with himself some 3 months later where he would still be refusing to answer his own e-mails or agree that the reflection in the mirror was, actually, his own.

I love those slagging the coffee snobs – I suppose they iz all SARASIN RIDERZ then? Or are they bike snobs who find other snobbery (that they don't understand) scary?

Stump grinder AND operative. I'd be surprised if someone would rent you one if you are not trade. If you are flexible on when, then it might be cheaper ie when they have other jobs in your area.

People who draw attention to themselves by constantly buying new things and telling everyone about it. I just wish they would deal with the underlying issues and find happiness.

I hate drivers who don't give me enough space. I hate shops advertising things they don't have.

    Jenever is interesting.

Sloe gin is delightful. Good ports are superb in small measures. Beer-wise, I have a case of Leffe Blonde in the garage and a bottle of that is worth 2 of most anything else.

You simply can't buy bespoke suits for less than £2k at least, more like £4k for a good one. There are plenty of people around claiming to offer bespoke for c.£700 but it's BS, they aren't really bespoke. Yes, they handcut the cloth (maybe here in the UK) and yes it's all tailored but there's no way they can be creating a whole new pattern for you for that money.

Wrong. You can get a superlative bespoke suit for a LOT less than £2k in a mid weight wool. You just have to go to provincial tailors and not the London big boys. I can wholeheartedly recommend Coleman and Sons in Leicester for their bespoke tailoring and ability to make me look smarter than a well-turned-out smart thing.

S'funny. I lived in Italy for 2 years and never met anyone who made their own. I second De Cecco (currently cheap in Sainsbury's).

Pasta is, by nature, quite plain. It is the sauce that makes the dish.

APM is coming more into favour in a lot of the public sector now. Mates with both said APM was far superior. PRINCE2 is still quoted, but there are far more PINO (PRINCE In Name Only) projects than anything else now.

Do you have enough action on the strings for slap? Light gauge and round wound give the best results – or so the slappers say. Newer strings work better as well.

Horses for courses – HT does for HT business, FS for FS. You need less suspension, but none at somewhere like Afan is going to be a bit masochistic on any bike.
