The default answer would probably be 'Hope Hoops' – less than your budget and, if you believe the believers, more awesome and solid than Thor's hammer.

Go to your local hardware store or your local haberdashers – purchase some 'hook and loop' or 'Velcro' if we're all about trade names. Then you can make your own! AWESOMENESS!

Sony – firstly for the superior sound – secondly for the ease of use (drag and drop) and thirdly – not Apple.

Why such a small frame? That looks like nigh on 50% seat post between the BB and the saddle.

    Bristol

You can ride local, do interesting touristy things, S Wales, N Devon, Cotswolds etc – or do you really fancy all that driving in the UK rathr than doing things?

redthunder – North Shields would see you 2 hrs from Edinburgh (with all that beautiful countryside in between), minutes from Tynemouth (with castle, priory and great beaches), 70 miles from the Lakes and not far from Beamish. Seems fair enough!

If they did 29er wheels (which I REALLY don't understand) they could be a great place to shop.

Will you be publishing a few more? Howies in Bristol were sold out after a couple of days last time, which was a few days after they were supposed to have them in stock – cos I went in on the day after they were supposed to be there and they weren't, then later when there were none.

    If you get my drift.

This place is getting more right wing and reactionary, and you know what? I'm outta here!

    WAIT!

Oh – I'm over it – you can go – whoever you are.

You know that 'Swinley' place people keep going on about? That'll be right there. Look up Bracknell Forest or The Lookout.

f I want boring predictable forums full of solemn questions about cycling or the best way to learn knitting, then there are lots of those around.

However, the presence of an individual on a mountain biking forum who didn't post about biking and just wound people up about non-biking subjects is better than knitting? Why not start a blog celebrating his uniqueness?

    Try getting married?

I rode 26" tubes for 2 years without any issues at all. Just got to pre-stretch them before you pop them on.

Do you 'need' one, or would a 26" tube stretched a wee bit, like what I used for years, do instead?

Or…………………………look at their website? For 700c tubes?

    I dunno.

Slow, prolonged torture is much more my style…

Username after banned username, post after angry post. We know. 🙄

BTW – do we know whether we have proof of 'a farmer' putting slurry on the road, or is this still from the unfounded claims of the OP? Negligence would require some sort of proof rather than a stw angry mob.

Hora can't be close to 50. Nobody with Hora's take on the world could have survived that long.

If you believe the tosh written about 29ers your head would explode. I was asked whether someone should have really wide bars to compensate for the gyroscopic effect of the bigger wheels!

I used to ride flats on mine – now have high risers. Just more comfortable for me. Front end height depends on axle to crown length of your forks, spacers, stem etc – same as any bike. Depends how you want to ride it as well – mine is just a bike, not racer, not anything – just a mountain bike.

Its a bike frame. I'm not aware of any manufacturer specifying a bar type for their frames. Put some bars on and see how it rides?

Snugpak will be plenty long enough for you and they do a zip in expander panel to give you more shoulder room.

You say you've tried the drinks – but have you been good about using them before, during and after? I sweat like a fat lass in a chocolate factory and have found proper prehydrating and well as rehydrating to be a big help – that and Hi5 electrolyte and / or Nuun.

I don't know what Daffy is doing but my 29ers both climb better than any 26er I've owned.
I've got size 12 feet and no overlap on either 29er I own.
They smooth out the trail – in my experience they do.

Shorter stem puts your weight slightly further back. Depending upon other factors (saddle position relative to bars, weight relative to rear axle, length of stays etc etc) you might find the front end gets light and wandery earlier than with a longer stem when climbing.
If you can still get up your steepest climb, then it isn't too short!

Look in TK Maxx. They had some really nice Scott waterproof jackets for £40 – sizes were all less than XL so not for me, but your local store might be different. Some Nike, Iron Man and other stuff in there at the mo.

You could always get irate about something important rather than a few posters. The democratic process is working, so let the wheels turn a little longer.
