I’ve just sent off my battered Sinister Ridge to PMC Powder Coaters in Long Eaton and they quoted me £80 comparing that to the above prices it could be interesting what I end up with !!
Shimano pressfit in my Production Privee Shan 27 think it was £15 off CRC not a peak out of it in 4 years bought a wheels mfg to replace it as i had read horror stories about pressfit’s wheels mfg still sat in the spares draw
When I get challenged about not having a bell I always just smile and say ‘sorry I’m too vain to have a bell’ most of them either laugh or look bewildered
I have spare wheels ,forks and brakes etc but they were what I upgraded from so not great and probably need servicing
I have a steel hardtail but as my back has popped for the 3rd time this year I’ve not been on it much hence wanting to keep the full sus operational
Thanks for the heads up I ended up getting some Revelations
I might need to add some tokens and the website says I need Rockshox seal grease
Do I need to definitely use this or can I use anything else ?
Thanks
I have a Production Privee Shan 27 and a Oka both run 27.5 by far and away best hardtails I have ever had would definitely recommend , not had a problem with either press fit bottom brackets (so what are the odds something happens tomorrow ??!!)
I use parcelforce all the time as long as it is under 1.5m length and 3m in length and girth you are good to go I use them a lot and costs me around £15 to send a frame under £100 obviously if it is valued at more the compensation costs rise
I have run the velosolo adapter front and rear and they are spot on although I haven’t had to change anything whilst elbow deep in crud and with freezing hands then I could see the spacers being a problem
Saying that i ended up biting the bullet and buying a boost wheelset but honestly couldn’t tell the difference
